In all that there is there are 5 kinds of spirits.
1 The spirit of the Almighty GOD
2 The spirit of Jesus Christ
3 The spirits of angels
4 The spirits of human beings
5 The spirits of all the lower animals
The spirit of GOD is eternal with no beginning or ending. GOD is the creator of all the other spirits. GODS spirit has no limit to HIS power, HIS presence and is everywhere in all times and places along with HIS endless knowledge and wisdom. GOD is a righteous being of pure love, mercy, compassion and patience. GOD has in eternity had the desire to create other beings that would be after HIS image and according to HIS likeness. GOD would accomplished this when HE spoke it into existence as HE is not bound by time or anything else. GOD did not accomplish this through Adam but rather by HIS son Jesus Christ the messiah. On this blog there are other articles that go into more detail concerning all these things.
Jesus Christ is the son of GOD. GOD created Jesus after HIS own image of righteous character and GODLY love. Jesus was incapable of sin and was perfection in the flesh and called the second Adam because the first Adam was a failure. Jesus willingly gave his life without any reservations and never ask his GOD to escape the cross. Jesus was dead for 3 days and 3 nights and raised from the dead by his GOD shortly before the end of the weekly Sabbath. Jesus was not glorified at his resurrection but at his ascension and today is no longer a human being but is a spirit being and to those his GOD has called and chosen, the saints, have the same hope that at his return they too will become righteous spirit beings of GODLY love incapable of sin.
The spirits of angels, good or evil, were created by GOD immortal spirit beings but have none of the attributes that belong to GOD only. The righteous angels serve GOD and humans under GODS direction. The evil angels are enemies of GOD, Jesus and humanity. After GODS will is done the evil angels are cast into the outer darkness forever. When humans are in the kingdom and glorified they will be higher than all the angels and rule and reign with Jesus by taking over positions on the Earth that were formerly ruled by the evil angels. There are other articles on this blog that go into more detail concerning these things.
The spirits of human beings. A human being is a spirit contained in a fleshly body called a soul. All humans are mortal and all die the first death. Because of what Jesus did this first death in not everlasting as Jesus provided two resurrections from the dead separated by 1,000 years. Every human who has not committed the unpardonable sin will be give a single opportunity to have salvation. Sin in humans is their thoughts, a function of the human spirit, that the law could not deal with but Jesus magnified the law to include the thoughts and intents of the human mind that defile humans and are the true source of all sin. There are other articles on this blog that go into more detail concerning these things.
The spirits of all lower animals. A human being is the highest form of animal GOD created. All other animals are souls too but humans are above them because we are sentient and aware unlike the lower animals. Humans can have a relationship with GOD but animals can not. Humans are to become those other beings that GOD desired to have in eternity. Jesus was righteousness and love and his life so precious to GOD that those who GOD would open up the minds to understand HIS will for them and submit totally to GOD then the blood of Jesus would cover their sins. The faith of these saints is counted as righteousness in GODS eyes. The lower animals have no opportunity for salvation and do not even have a mind that can sin. None of the lower animals today are unclean but all are good for food but only to the humans who are in Christ. Humans not in Christ are carnal and are under the law still condemned to death and separated from GOD until such time as GOD has determined for them. There are other articles on this blog that go into more detail concerning these things.
This is a very brief description of the 5 kinds of spirits.
