IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST SHOULD YOU STILL TRY TO KEEP THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ?

 

According to my blog statistics there are many people reading articles about the Ten Commandments. These articles are the second highest of all the articles read on this blog. Therefore in this article I will share with you what the spirit of GOD through Christ has revealed to me.  Then it is up to GOD whether or not you will understand.

Scripture says “sin is the transgression 

of the law.”1 John 3:4

Romans 6:23  “For the wages of sin is death.”

Now we must ask, what law is it that if we break it brings death ?  The answer is the Ten Commandments.  If you Break any one of the Ten Commandments you have broken them all. 

 James 2:10-11  “Whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all. For the one who said do not commit adultery also said do not murder. Even if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder then you are a lawbreaker .”

Here James makes it plain that it is the Ten Commandments that produces death if we break them.  What many fail to understand is that this death by breaking the Ten Commandments is everlasting, you cease to exist.  The heaven hell idea is a pagan myth.  In GODS eyes all sin is the same with no one sin greater than the other.  

Until GOD sent Jesus to provide repentance, forgiveness, grace and faith and the hope of everlasting life in the kingdom of GOD, All unconverted people were separated from GOD because of their sins.  There is a common belief by many that think they are Christians that they must keep the Ten Commandments but as I will show you the Ten Commandments were and are the old covenant that Jesus came to save us from. 

The Ten Commandments were kept in the ark of the covenant and Moses called the Ten Commandments the tables of the covenant.

Exodus 32:15 “Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tables of the covenant in his hands. They were written on both sides.”

Hebrews 9:4 “This ark contained the gold jar of mana, Aaron’s rod that budded and the stone tablets of the covenant.”

The Ten Commandments are the old covenant that GOD gave to humanity in order to imprison all in disobedience so that HE may show mercy to all.” Jew and Gentiles alike.  Romans 11:32 Amplified Bible 

 No one can keep the Ten Commandments and if you say you are you are a liar. 

 1 John 1:10  If we say we have no sin (because we think we are keeping the Ten Commandments) then we make GOD a liar.”  This is because GOD said, 

“For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of GOD.”  Romans 3:23

The only human being to ever fulfill the Ten Commandments was Jesus Christ and he fulfilled them with GODS love and Paul confirms this,

Romans 14:10  “Love does no harm to a neighbor therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”  

This love is GODS love that we humans do not have and is a gift from GOD by HIS Holy Spirit in us.

Romans 5:5  “And hope does not disappoint us because GOD has poured out HIS love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit HE has given to us.”

You see our trying to keep the Ten Commandments is our working in the law rather than GOD working in us by HIS love.  This is why Jesus gave us two commandments in Matthew 23:37-40 that say;

“Jesus declared, love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind and this is the first and greatest commandment and the second is like it; love your neighbor as yourself.  All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.”

In Marks gospel Jesus adds this additional comment, 

“There is no commandment greater than these.” 

This means that the Ten Commandments are inferior to the two commandments Jesus gave.  Without GODS love in us we remain sinners under the Ten Commandments that provided no mercy, forgiveness, grace, faith, repentance or hope of everlasting life.  The Ten Commandments kill us, they do not give life.  

2 Corinthians 3:6  “HE made us competent as ministers of a new covenant, not the letter, but the spirit; for the letter kills but the spirit gives life.”

Galatians 3:21 “Is the law against the promises of GOD ?  Absolutely not !  For if a law had been given that could impart life then righteousness would have come by the law.”

Righteousness does not come by the law else Jesus died for nothing.

Galatians 2:21 “I do not set aside the grace of GOD, for if righteousness could be gained by the law then Christ died for nothing.”

So, I hope you may see that keeping the Ten Commandments can only produce death and are our works of righteousness that are filthy rags to GOD.  

It must be by GODS love in us, by GOD working HIS love in us. 

“ It isn’t worth anything to have a lot of knowledge, to speak in tongues, to have the gift of prophecy, or have absolute faith but if we don’t have GODS love then we are nothing.”  1 Corinthians 13:1-13  

The greatest gift of all is love, GODS love, because HIS love is what enables us to live a righteous life, to overcome our sins and gives us the hope of immortality at the return of Jesus.  

If you claim to be in Christ yet still try to keep the Ten Commandments……..

Galatians 5:4  “You who are trying to be justified by the Ten Commandments have been alienated from Christ, you have fallen from grace.”

You have hear it said many times we are under grace and not the law, well that law is the Ten Commandments.  The Ten Commandments are not evil, people are.  The law is holy, just and good but we don’t have what it takes to fulfill it which is the love of GOD.  

Jesus took upon himself the death penalty for our breaking the Ten Commandments should we then continue trying to keep them or should we surrender ourselves to allow GOD to work in us with HIS love to fulfill them ?  It is like our sitting in the electric chair ready to be executed when Jesus comes in to take our place then afterwards you sit back in the electric chair. That would be spiritually insane.  

The Ten Commandments are not the new covenant that GOD made possible through Jesus.  The Ten Commandments are the old and dead way while the new covenant is the new and living way.

Therefore it came to pass………..

2 Chronicles 36:20-23 

  “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:  The Lord, the GOD of heaven, who has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, has appointed me to build a house for HIM at Jerusalem in Judah.  Whoever of you belongs to HIS people may the Lord his GOD be with him and he may go up.”

Jeremiah said that Judah and Jerusalem would be taken to Babylon for 70 years. 

 Jeremiah 25:12  “But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt,” declares the LORD, “and will make it desolate forever.    

Daniel also wrote about the 70 years.  

 Daniel 9:2  in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. 

 Daniel is informing us here that he understood the meaning of Jeremiah’s prophecy.

Then Zechariah 1:12  Then the Angel of the LORD answered and said, “O LORD of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years ?”

Ezra 1:1-4  Ezra tells us that after Babylon was conquered by Persia the time came to FULFILL Jeremiah’s 70 year prophecy.

  In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken through Jeremiah, the LORD stirred the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia to send a proclamation throughout his kingdom and to put it in writing as follows: 

  “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:

‘The LORD, the God of heaven, who has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, has appointed me to build a house for Him at Jerusalem in Judah.

  Whoever among you belongs to His people, may his God be with him, and may he go to Jerusalem in Judah and build the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem.  And let every survivor, wherever he lives, be assisted by the men of that region with silver, gold, goods, and livestock, along with a freewill offering for the house of God in Jerusalem.’”

Now Jeremiah 25:8-14  describes the Babylonian captivity that Jeremiah wrote about and Judah and Jerusalem did indeed spend 70 years in Babylon but after the 70 years were completed the Babylonian empire was conquered by Darius king of Persia and in this day Babylon is in ruins. 

 Now verse 15 of Jeremiah 25 begins another yet future event of GODS judgement on all the nations of the earth starting with Jerusalem and the cities of Judah.  The previously mentioned 70 years of captivity in Babylon happened long before this future time and only involved Judah so the 70 years cannot be connected to this future prophecy.  

The end of the 70 years has GOD allowing the Jews to return under Cyrus king of Persia and Babylon was conquered but from verse 15 and onward is another punishment of all the nations of the earth, not just Judah.  

The reason for the Jews returning to Jerusalem is because Jesus was prophesied to be born in Bethlehem. Micah’s prophecy foretold of Jesus being born in Bethlehem over 700 years before Jesus was born and over 200 years before Babylon took Judah into captivity.  

Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to ME the one to be ruler in Israel , whose goings forth are from old, from  everlasting” 

This return of the Jews was not because the Jews deserved it but for GOD to vindicate HIS holy name.  

 Ezekiel 36:22 “Therefore say to the Israelites, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: It is not for your sake, people of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.

Jeremiah records the same things Jesus said about this future prophecy.

Jeremiah 25:32 Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Behold, disaster shall go forth From nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up From the farthest parts of the earth.

  What Jesus said in Matthew 24:7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

and Luke 21:25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

So then, we can’t use the 70 years as we have been because they are not a part of the end time but were fulfilled in the days of the prophet Daniel.  While Daniel lived in Babylon he came to understand Jeremiah’s prophecy (Daniel 9:2) and later was witness to Darius (Cyrus) king of Persia conquering Babylon recorded in;

Daniel chapter 5:30 

  Now this is the inscription that was written:

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN.

  And this is the interpretation of the message:

MENE  means that God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.

  TEKEL  means that you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.

  PERES  means that your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.”

  Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel in purple, placed a gold chain around his neck, and proclaimed him the third highest ruler in the kingdom.

  That very night Belshazzar king of  the Chaldeans  was slain,  and Darius the Mede received the kingdom at the age of sixty-two.

What this means is that we can no longer use the 70 years to say that from 1948 to the passing of 70 years  culminates in the tribulation or return of Christ.  The “sign” we need to see is the false tribulation and rise of the man of sin and the covenant made with ten nations. 

The elimination of the 70 years increases the possibility of our small group of GODS elect being a part of those who are alive and remain.  Whereas with the 70 years we were running out of time expiring in 2028. With less than 2 years to have a false tribulation and false millennium the 70 year idea was not plausible.  Eliminating the 70 years ends this time restriction.

This information should open up the possibility of Christ returning in our lifetimes.  As far as the time line we have all the days of Daniel still correct.  We did have one clarification in the 1290 days being the setting up of the abomination of desolation rather than the 1260. 

Daniel 12:11 “From the time the daily sacrifice is taken away (1260 days) and the abomination of desolation is set up there shall be 1290 days.”  

Now, with the current events in the Middle East, exists the possibility of this man of sin and his 10 nations becoming reality.  What will bring these events to fruition is not yet clear but we have thought it may be a nuclear attack on Iran by Israel and it will be the event we have called the false tribulation.  Never before in all of history has there been world conditions and scientific advancements that would make this event possible.  If we were still thinking along the lines of the 70 years there just wouldn’t be enough time for these events to happen and we might think that they would be further into the future, but now that the 70 years is correctly understood these events could happen at any time.  This increases the possibility that we may be among those who are alive and remain for the second advent. 

After the false tribulation is the false millennium that ends at the 1260 days when sacrifices end and antichrist declares himself GOD, then the 1290 days is when the abomination of desolation is set up. At 1335 days the elect are sealed and at 2300 days Christ returns. 

This is currently how we understand things now but as we have seen we may not have enough information now and there may be more information later that changes things.  What we are doing is watching world events and comparing them to prophecy and then speculating about what might happen and in doing so we should be aware that we will make mistakes along the way that will require us to rethink things.  This process is what we have been experiencing for many years already. 

I know that all the elect alive today have a great desire to be among that group of saints who are alive and remain when Christ returns but this is not a guarantee for us, salvation is a guarantee, so whether or not we are in that small group we will be in that larger group of 144,000.  We all need to constantly pray for the kingdom to come and that GOD would work HIS spirit in us more powerfully to help us do HIS will. 

 Philippians 2:13 “For it is GOD who works in you both to will and to do HIS good pleasure.”

  While yet in this flesh we will still sin and always need grace for forgiveness as it is like Jesus said, “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.”  The spirit in us was sown in weakness but will be raised in power, that seed which fell upon the good earth is tended to, watered by, the message of the gospel that saves us and GOD gives the increase.

We have learned that in the first century the Apostles thought Jesus would return soon in their lifetime and apparently GOD allowed them to believe this.  If we compare their time to ours we can see that events described in the book of Revelation (that they did not have yet) could not possibly have happened in their day.  There is no way that humanity had the ability to destroy all life on earth as they do today.  Perhaps the reason for GOD allowing the Apostles to think this was to weed out those people who were not truly converted.  

Afterwards the book of  Revelation was revealed in about 95 AD that explains how the future unfolds and that there were 6 more eras of the church to come after them.  1948 we know was not GODS doing, it was Satans doing, because it was not the fulfillment of GODS promise to Abraham; it was another copying of GODS plan used by Satan to deceive.  In order for the Antichrist to deceive the Jews and rule from Jerusalem with his 10 nations there must be a counterfeit Israel.  

We know the law will be restored along with the animal sacrifices because Revelation records this.  There will be a false Jesus in the antichrist, a false GOD in the beast and a false Elijah in the false prophet.  Under the direction of the beast , antichrist will at the 1260 days end all the sacrifices and declare himself GOD then at 1290 set up the abomination of desolation, then 45 days later the elect are sealed, then for 965 days is the great tribulation until the 2300 days when Jesus returns early to stop humanity from destroying itself.    This is the what we have so far and we know it is subject to change as more things are revealed.  

What we watch for now is not the 70 years but the false tribulation and what we are seeing now in the Middle East has the potential to bring it about. 

Remember the people who fell away in the first century when the temple was destroyed but Jesus did not return.  We do not want to be like them, so if we are 100% wrong and the return of Jesus is far off, we do not repeat their error.  We must cling to faith even if we do not understand what is going on.  Faith is believing in things that have not yet happened in spite of what we see around us.  We walk by faith not by sight.  Personally I believe we are near to the time of this false tribulation.

 1 Timothy 4:1-3  2 Timothy 3:1-5  Romans 1:24-32

As we continue to watch we need to surrender ourselves to GOD desiring HIS spirit to work in us to guide us in all righteousness, love and truth.  GOD knows the thoughts and intents of our human spirit and sees this desire in us and in spite of our weaknesses, our sins, has provided us with grace and faith by which we are saved.  So then whether we live or whether we die we belong to GOD.

1/2 A SOUL IS DEATH THE COMPLETE SOUL IS LIFE

No one has ever seen a human spirit so I just have a picture of nothing.  

 

Below is a complete soul.

 

I hope you can see the difference.

Half a soul cannot be alive because it takes both body and spirit combined to make a soul, a living breathing creature. At death the spirit and body separate and neither one can function without the other.  The dead man in the casket cannot wave to you like the man who is a complete soul does.  How can the spirit wave to you when it has no hands, no body ?

At present GOD will let the people in the world believe whatever they want but not so in HIS church, in the church the saints must believe what GOD teaches them through Jesus Christ. What GOD teaches is not what the world teaches, God teaches the truth, the world teaches lies.

Why You Do Not Have an Immortal Soul

What are you, really? And what am I?

Many Christians answer this without hesitation: you have a soul—an immortal soul—an invisible part of you that leaves the body at death and goes to either heaven or hell. It is preached in churches, assumed at funerals, and rarely questioned.

But where does the Bible actually say this?

It doesn’t.

This belief is ancient, widespread, and deeply comforting. It is also one of the biggest errors in all of Christianity. Because if you misunderstand what man is, you will misunderstand death, judgment, and the very purpose of salvation.

Your Bible teaches that man does not have an immortal soul. Man is a soul, formed from the dust of the ground and sustained by breath. That soul can die. Everlasting life is not inherent in man but is a gift given by God through resurrection. This truth is essential to understanding the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Man Became a Soul—He Was Not Given One

Genesis 2:7 states that God formed man from the dust and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, “and man became a living soul.” The Hebrew word nephesh means a living, breathing creature—not an immortal entity. The same word is used for animals in Genesis 1:20–24.

Biblically, a soul is not something placed inside the body. It is the whole living being. This alone overturns the idea that humans possess an indestructible spiritual component.

The Soul Can Die—And Immortality Must Be Given

If souls were immortal, Scripture could not say what it plainly says: “The soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4, 20). Paul confirms it: “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Not everlasting life in torment. Not conscious existence elsewhere. Death.

Only God “has immortality” (1 Timothy 6:16). Paul tells us plainly that immortality must be put on—and only at the resurrection: “This mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:53). If you already had an immortal soul, you would not need a resurrection—you would need a travel itinerary.

But the gospel is not about relocation. It is about transformation.

Death Is Sleep—Not Life in Another Place

The Bible repeatedly describes death as unconsciousness. “The dead know nothing” (Ecclesiastes 9:5). When a man dies, “his plans perish” (Psalm 146:4).

This is why Yeshua (Jesus) described death as sleep. Speaking of Lazarus, He said, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps,” and then explained plainly, “Lazarus is dead” (John 11:11–14). If the dead were already alive in heaven or hell, these statements would be misleading. But if death is a state of complete unconsciousness, the Bible speaks with one voice.

The dead are not watching. They are waiting.

How the Immortal Soul Doctrine Entered the Church

The doctrine of the immortal soul echoes the first recorded lie in Scripture: “You will not surely die” (Genesis 3:4). From the beginning, humanity was told that death would not truly mean death.

Centuries later, Greek philosophers like Plato taught that the soul is immortal and the body merely a temporary prison. Church fathers trained in pagan schools carried the idea in with them. By Augustine’s time, a Hebrew revelation had been replaced by a Greek assumption. A lie that began in Eden entered the church through philosophy, and it replaced the biblical hope of resurrection with the idea of immediate life after death.

Why This Matters For the Kingdom

This truth defines the plan of God.  Being born again is not a present experience but a future resurrection event—and why: God is reproducing Himself, His character of love and righteousness, preparing human beings to be born into His Family as spirit-composed sons and daughters.

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). That change happens at the resurrection, when mortality is replaced with immortality. God is not relocating ghosts. He is raising the dead—and transforming them to rule with Christ in His coming government. You are not preparing to escape this life. You are preparing to be changed into something greater.

Conclusion

The doctrine of the immortal soul does more than misinterpret a few verses—it reshapes the entire message of the Bible. It replaces resurrection with assumption, judgment with immediacy, and the Kingdom of God with an afterlife detached from God’s plan.

The truth is both sobering and hopeful.

Man is mortal—but not meaningless. Temporary—but not purposeless. Created from dust—but destined for glory.

God is offering you something you do not already possess: everlasting life in His Family. But it will not be given automatically.

Read Genesis 2:7, Ezekiel 18, Ecclesiastes 9, and 1 Corinthians 15 this week. Let Scripture define what man is. Then examine what you believe—and decide which authority you will follow.

DISEMBODIED SPIRITS

 

 If when you die and become a disembodied spirit this means you have no body. 

Does your spirit have eyes, ears, a nose, a tongue, can you wear a garment, or talk without a mouth and vocal cords or see anything without eyes ?  

According to the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15 the saints do not get a new spirit body until the resurrection when Jesus returns so at death we have no body. 

 Jesus said that no man ascends to heaven and I would think descends to hell either.  How can anyone feel pain from hell fire if they have no body ?  On the day of Pentecost the Apostle Peter spoke about King David and said that David’s grave was with them today and that David did not ascend into heaven. Acts2:34

When the saints are resurrected they will have a spirit body that makes them immortal so before they receive this spirit body they must be mortal. How can a mortal spirit live on after death ? 

 Yes, your human spirit is mortal just as your body is mortal.  Remember that GOD withheld immortality from Adam and Eve that was in the tree of life because of sin.  If either body or spirit was immortal then why must this mortal put on immortality ?  The soul is alive but a disembodied spirit is not.  

Humans are mortal, no one, not even the human Jesus was immortal, so how is it that if your mortal you can yet be alive ?  It’s not our spirit or our body that is immortal, it’s the spirit body we receive in the resurrection that makes us immortal.  It says this mortal must put on immortality.  This putting on immortality is compared by Paul to being clothed with this new spirit body. 2 Corinthians 5:1-4   1 Corinthians 15:42-44 and 53-54   Also Philippians 3:20-21  1 John 3:2 gives the time of this event as “when he appears”, the return of Christ.  

The Saints inherit the kingdom and immortality therefore before this they are only heirs not yet inheritors therefore at death we die as an heir waiting for our inheritance.   Ephesians 1:14  1 Peter 1:3-5  Daniel 12:13  Matthew 24:13  2 Timothy 4:7-8  Hebrews 9:15   No human being has ever been immortal and at death there is no life of any kind.  To live again and become immortal requires a resurrection from the dead.  

SOUL BODY SPIRIT LIFE DEATH RESURRECTION MORTAL IMMORTAL

 A spirit without a body is death. An angel has a spirit body. GOD doesn’t have a body, HE is pure spirit. How could GOD, who is omnipresent in eternity have a body ?  Scriptures that speak of GOD having certain body parts like humans do is anthropomorphism or attributing human characteristics to GOD.  This done to help finite humans comprehend the infinite. GOD could not communicate with humans on HIS level because HE is the highest and HIS thoughts and ways are so far above humans that humans would never understand.  Therefore GOD comes down to human level in HIS communication with humans using terminology humans would understand.  GOD designed humans to need a body to be alive when the human spirit is joined with the body it becomes a soul.  At death humans become a disembodied spirit but because this spirit has no body all of the normal actions of a living soul are not present.  A disembodied human spirit cannot see, taste, hear, talk, feel or smell because all of the necessary senses required are rotting in the ground.  Half a soul is not life.

 When GOD formed Adams body from the dust of the ground and before the breath of life came Adams body could do nothing, there was no life until the human spirit, the breath of life entered Adams body.  While we are a soul we are a living being but a disembodied spirit is only half of a soul.  It is only in the kingdom that these disembodied spirits will become like the angels with a spirit body that makes them immortal.  Mark 12:25  Luke 20:34-36  1 Corinthians 15:42-50  

There are certain people that think GOD makes exceptions for some people and that these people are somehow yet alive as a disembodied spirit. There is no scriptural evidence to support this idea.  The Bible explicitly says that the only way to live again after death is by a resurrection from the dead. Any scripture that seems to say otherwise is either a very bad translation, a deliberate alteration, improper punctuation or some combination of these.  All the prophets, Jesus and Apostles testify to this fact of the resurrection . 

 Oh, GOD can change HIS mind they say but GOD, who is omniscient, knows in eternity all things so why would HE need to “change HIS mind” ?  People who think this way don’t know or understand GODs attributes else they would never think such gibberish.  1 Corinthians 6:14  

One of these types talks about hermeneutics saying we need to take the plain words of scripture as the truth.  Well, the trinity is supported by hermeneutics and this person was able to see how scriptures were taken out of context or altered to support the lie of the trinity but this person seems unable to do this with the lie of immediate life after death. This persons hermeneutics is worthless and is the logic of carnal minds.The Holy Spirit of the FATHER is the interpreter of scripture not human hermeneutics and is able to overcome any butchering men have done to the scriptures to reveal the truth to HIS elect saints.  This person has never had this spiritual experience from GOD therefore he is carnal knowing nothing.   This person only recently came to understand the trinity is a lie but this is no indication that this person is converted having the indwelling spirit of GOD because the Jews have known the truth of one GOD for about 3,500 years but it hasn’t done any good for them at all.  It is extremely important to know there is only one GOD but this is not the message of the gospel. Since this person truly believes in immediate life after death in some fashion they ignorantly are preaching a false gospel.  If 98% of false Christianity thinks immediate life after death is true then that’s the first indication that it is a lie.  Whatever the false churches teach is a lie.  

THE CRY OF THE MARTYRS

  

In Revelation 6:9-11 is the account of the souls who were killed for their testimony.  The question here is are these martyrs alive or dead.  Many believe these are disembodied spirits are conscious and alive due their crying out.  If this section of scripture is literal then previously in Revelation 5:6 it is literally a slaughtered lamb that opens the fifth seal in Revelation 6:1  And there is literally a white horse whose rider held a bow and a crown was given to him a great sword , then he went out to conquer.  This is followed by three more literal horses of various colors with their riders who in sequence take peace from the earth, cause famine and killing with sword, famine, plague and beasts of the earth.  Then we come to the verses in question, the literal crying our of dead people who want their blood avenged and each receives a white robe but they have no body to put it on because they are disembodied spirits and they are told they must wait until the full number of their fellow saints would be killed as they were.  So then if we assume verses 9 to 11 are literal and not symbolic then we must also assume all the other seals are literal too. 

Revelation is a book that heavily employs symbolism and most people know this but the challenge is to separate the symbolism from reality and this is where for many people it proves to be impossible.  The same can be said of the parable of Lazarus and the rich man that also uses symbolism that is found in the false beliefs of the Pharisees that Jesus was speaking this parable to.  Jesus used their belief of what they considered to be the afterlife against them by giving the reward to Lazarus rather than the rich man. Another example is the transfiguration that Jesus plainly told his disciples was a vision and therefore not real. Did the kingdom of GOD arrive during this event ?  Was Christ glorified before his time as well as Moses and Elijah because Jesus was glorified at his ascension and Moses and Elijah will be at the last day when Jesus returns.

When the spiritually ignorant read scriptures in the Bible that seem to indicate immediate life after death they fall for them and are very willing to abandon the truth of GOD about resurrections from the dead in order to believe in their lie.  They will throw out the plain declarations of the prophets, Jesus and the Apostles about the resurrection of the dead at the return of Jesus in order to cling to their Satan inspired lie.  

Without the Holy Spirit they cannot understand these things so they invent whatever they want that pleases them.  

ARE THE WORDS OF THE PROPHETS STILL VALID TODAY OR HAS GOD CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT WHAT THE PROPHETS WROTE CONCERNING LIFE DEATH AND RESURRECTION

 There are many scriptures in the Old Testament that plainly say that the dead are not alive and sleep the sleep of death being totally unconscious.  There are some who say these words by the prophets have been changed by GOD and don’t apply to us today and they use the transfiguration, the parable of Lazarus and the rich man, 1 Peter 3:18-21 and others to prove this.  GODS attributes of omnipotence and omniscience should show us that GOD doesn’t need to change HIS mind about anything.  It is necessary to examine what Jesus and the Apostles say about this idea.

2 Peter 3:1-2 “This second epistle beloved I write to you in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance.  That you be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets and the commandment of us Apostles of the Lord and Savior.”

2 Peter 1:19 “And so we have the prophetic word made sure to which you would do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.  Knowing this first that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation for prophecy never came by the will of man but holy men of GOD spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 1:2 “the gospel HE promised beforehand through HIS prophets in the holy scriptures.”

Ephesians 3:5 “which was not made known in other generations as it has now been revealed by the spirit of GODS holy Apostles and prophets.”

Acts 3:21 “whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things about which GOD spoke by the mouth of all HIS holy prophets since the world began.”

Well, these are only a few scriptures that to me establish the sureness of the testimony of the prophets.  Peter reveals that all the prophets were not speaking to people of their day or for themselves but to the church. 

1 Peter 1:12 “It was revealed to them (the prophets) that they were not serving themselves but you (the church) when they spoke of the things that have now been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things angels desire to look into.”

All the words of the holy prophets are still valid today, even those that describe the state of the dead being that of unconscious nothingness.  That there is no immediate life after death. The truth of GOD had always been in both old and new testaments that the ONLY way to live again after death is by a resurrection from the dead at the return of Christ.  

Any other teachings that contradicts or alters this truth are from Satan.  This lie of Satan is not part of the gospel but of Satans first lie, “You shall not surely die.”  The elect of GOD are to be in agreement on all spiritual things with no divisions among us and all of us speaking the same thing.  Anyone calling themself a brother but thinks there is immediate life after death is a deceived person.  This deceived brother needs to repent and accept the truth if GOD will have mercy on him and grant him repentance. 

 James 5:20 “Let him know that the one who has turned a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”  

The brother, more than likely a babe, needs correction from the mature brethren, but if he rejects loving correction then what ?

Romans 16:17 “I urge you brothers and sisters to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.”

Titus 3:10-11 “Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition knowing that such a man is corrupt and sinful and self condemned.”

2 John 1:9 “Whoever transgresses and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have GOD but the one who remains in the teaching has both the FATHER and the son.”

1 Timothy 6:3 “If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words even the words of the Lord Jesus Christ and with doctrine conforming to Godliness they are proud knowing nothing but is obsessed with dispute and arguments over words from which come envy, strife, evil suspicions.”

GODS elect will in love try to explain the truth to a confused brother but if that brother refuses to hear and continues his rant about a false belief then it is time to rebuke him.  Titus 3:10 

 Usually a person rebuked is offended and withdraws himself from fellowship rather than realize his error when the  brethren attempt in love to help him see the truth.  This is a sad thing but this person isn’t lost but may have to be in the millennium or second resurrection to see the truth if GOD doesn’t want him now.   If the brother repents and desires to return to fellowship then let him and consider the matter over and done.  

WAS JESUS CHRIST IMMORTAL ?

 

The penalty for our sin is death.  This death is easily proven to be one of a mortal human where the spirit leaves the body, then the body rots to dust and the unconscious spirit returns to GOD.  In order to be the substitute payment for human sin Jesus would have to die in the exact same way as all humans do otherwise the penalty would not be paid .   Jesus took upon himself our death sentence so the death we die Jesus died also.  Just like all human beings the soul of Jesus separated and his spirit went to GOD but his body did not rot or decay and actually healed while dead because after his resurrection he appeared to many and no one seemed shocked by his appearance.  Remember, Jesus was whipped so bad his visage was marred , Isaiah 52:14 , yet after 3 days and 3 nights the FATHER resurrected Jesus and Jesus was alive again, a soul again.  You have to be a soul in order to be alive.  All this information proves that Jesus was not still alive after he died but was indeed dead just as any of us when we die. 

 Humans are mortal and Jesus was human therefore Jesus was mortal.  Humans have a human spirit called the spirit in man and this spirit is what makes us human so if Jesus was human then he had to have a human spirit.  

To live after dying would mean your immortal but scriptures testify humans are mortal. Jesus could only live again after he died because the FATHER resurrected him otherwise Jesus would still be dead and we yet in our sins and condemned to death.  

There are certain scriptures that spiritually ignorant people use to “prove” immediate life after death but these ignorant do not understand these scriptures because they don’t have the Holy Spirit. There are many things ignorant false Churches teach the carnal people who attend them that are lies.  Only the elect of GOD understand spiritual things because they are taught to us by GOD through Jesus. Matthew 13:11 The FATHERS Spirit is able to reveal HIS truth to HIS elect no matter how much unconverted Satanically inspired men have perverted the scriptures.  This is why GODS elect are confident in what they know and believe.  We elect, by the power of the FATHERS Spirit through Jesus, are being taught in the same way as the prophets and Apostles, by divine revelation. The Apostle John recorded this fact in 1 John 2:27  and by Jesus in John 14:13,26  Therefore preachers, ministers, pastors, popes and all human ministries are unnecessary and have been abolished after the death of the Apostle John. Ezekiel 34:10   Jeremiah 23:1   John 10:12-13   Isaiah 56:11 

It is by this connection to GOD through Jesus that we know Jesus was mortal and died exactly the same way we do and was resurrected by the FATHER to life again. Revelation 1:18   If life after death was immediate all humans and the human Jesus would be immortal and the resurrection a lie.  Hebrews 2:17 Jesus had to be created by GOD to be fully human in every physical way.  It should be obvious that spiritually Jesus was far above us because Jesus had a greater anointing of GODS spirit than anyone else has ever had.  

Hebrews 1:9  The GOD of the Elohim Jesus, set Jesus above his companions by anointing Jesus with more the oil of gladness. 

This oil of gladness is referring to the Holy Spirit.

The human spirit of Jesus was incapable of sin therefore his human body was the perfect sacrifice for our sins.  The human spirit of Christ was one with his GOD and this oneness is what we elect of GOD are destined to become.  This acquiring of the state of oneness for the elect happens when we are changed at the return of Jesus in the first resurrection.  Until then we are to bear fruit to GOD by surrendering ourselves to GODS working power of love in us to truly love GOD and neighbor. If we endure to the end of our lives in doing this we will be made immortal and incapable of sin.  

The elect are said to have everlasting life abiding in them which gives the spiritually ignorant the idea we are immoral now.  Everlasting life is a gift from GOD to the elect and is dependent on our surrendering ourselves to GOD and obeying the gospel, growing in grace and knowledge and overcoming.  The elect see GODS promise of immortality as a sure thing because GOD cannot lie therefore we speak of everlasting life as though we already have it when we know it is yet future in the resurrection.  This method of speaking is called prophetic present tense, that is like the way GOD speaks, Romans 4:17 (last part) “calls those things which do not exist as though they do”  It seems that all of GODS people have at times spoken in this way.  The ignorant do not understand these things and in their carnal minds invent the immortal soul lie or some form of instant life after death. 

No human being as two natures unless they are either converted elect with the holy spirt or demonically possessed. If Jesus was created by GOD and was human did Jesus have a nature just like ours ?  When GOD created Adam, Adams nature was innocent and ignorant of sin because he had not yet sinned by eating the forbidden fruit that opened his eyes to understand good and evil.  At his creation Adam could not sin but later became a sinner, this is a change of nature, a nature that all humans now have, the nature of evil acquired from Satan.  Jesus is called the second Adam but Jesus was the messiah who was created by GOD incapable of sin so that the sacrifice of his life would be more than enough to pay for our sins.  The virgin birth separated Jesus from Adam so that Adams sin did not pass on to Jesus.  Jesus and Adam were like brothers because their FATHER was GOD.  The spiritually ignorant think Jesus was dual natured, both GOD and man, but I would ask how many other human beings are the same, are all humans both GOD and man ?  Jesus was indeed 100% human but he was 0% GOD. Jesus had GODS character of love and righteousness but none of GODS attributes of omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient or eternal existence.  If no human is also GOD then Jesus the human was not GOD either.  Jesus was a human man who was totally filled with the spirit of GOD and was especially created by GOD to be the messiah. There was nothing about Jesus  when he was human that was immortal.

KEL IS WRONG AGAIN

 Jesus said not to fear him who could destroy the body but rather HIM who can destroy both body and spirit in hell.  Matthew 10:28   Hell in this verse is referring to the lake of fire, the second death. 

According to Kel there is no human spirit but the spirit in us is GODS spirit.  Would GOD destroy HIMSELF in hell ?  All humans have a human spirit and GODS spirit bears witness with our human spirit. Romans 8:16   If man is made in the image and likeness of GOD then just what is there about humans that is this image and likeness ?  There are only two parts that make a soul, the dust or body and the breath or spirit.  Which  one of these could be said to be in GODS image and likeness ?  John 4:24 declares that GOD is spirit and we humans have a spirit therefore it is the human spirit that is in GODS image and likeness.  What part of a human enters the kingdom of GOD ?  Is it our body or our spirit ?  Hebrews 12:23 “the spirits of just men made perfect”

Scripture does say there is a spirit in man and that this human spirit is our mind, our thoughts and intents and is our connection to GOD.  Job 32:8  1 Corinthians 2:11-12   Romans 8:16  Kel says humans are not a spirit but only living dust and Kel confidently says, “GOD said so”, and his statement is false because GOD said we are a living soul, not living dust.  Well, dust isn’t living its animated by the human spirit, Jesus said it is the spirit that gives life the body profits nothing.  John 6:63  

 To be alive means to be aware and conscious and able to function in a body.  The human spirit at death is not destroyed but enters a state of unconsciousness and unawareness until the resurrection.  Since the body of dust that Kel says is living dust is not alive of itself then Kels living dust is an oxymoron as well as a corruption of scripture. Dust is matter and matter has no life at all.  The human body only appears to be living because of the presence of the human spirit.  James said the body without the spirit is dead.  

When GOD formed Adams body there was no life in that dust.  The human spirit, the breath of life, was required to give the body the appearance of life.  Notice the life is in the breath, GOD doesn’t breathe therefore this is not GODS spirit that makes the soul alive, it is a spirit designed by GOD requiring breath.  The souls of human beings are kept alive by breath, Genesis 7:22   Isaiah 2:22   Job 27:3 but this verse is better translated “the breath from GOD is in my nostrils”  because remember GOD doesn’t breathe.  Acts 17:25 “GOD gives to all life and breath”  Zechariah 12:1 “and forms the spirit of man within him.” A spirit that is not GODS spirit but a spirit designed by GOD requiring breath to be alive, to be a soul. Remember that even lower animals require a spirit that isn’t GODS spirit. Kel said that if humans were a spirit we would be immortal but in this statement Kel is obviously ignorant of just what a soul is and how GOD designed the soul, the body of dust and a spirit of breath created for each kind, Genesis 1:25 “And GOD made the beast of the earth according to its kind, and cattle according to its kind and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind and GOD saw that it was good.”

Now Kels teaching is absolutely wrong.  All humans are a spirit in a mortal body. The body suffers corruption and cannot enter the kingdom of GOD.  1 Corinthians 15:39-49   GODS saints will receive a spirit body and this is what makes them immortal because the human spirit by itself is not immortal but as stated before at death becomes unconscious and unaware which is not what life is.  This unconscious human spirit needs a body that is incorruptible, a spirit body, in order to become immortal.  This mortal must put on immortality. This corruption must put on incorruption. 1 Corinthians 15:35-49  read these verses carefully.

Even animals are souls requiring the breath of life to be alive.  Each animal has a spirit that is programmed by GOD to match the animal. Each animal’s spirit is unique to its body, each after its own kind.  GOD is the creator of all spirits and each spirit has its own body. The lower animals operate purely on instinct, a preprogrammed behavior GOD placed in them.  Horses don’t climb trees, cats don’t chase cars, elephants don’t fly and no other animal except man can build a spacecraft to travel to the moon and back.  At death the animal spirit along with its body is destroyed but a human spirit that was created by GOD to have the potential of a relationship with GOD is preserved in a dormant state until a resurrection from the dead.  The other animals do not have this potential.  Kel used a flashlight to demonstrate that humans are living dust but in his explanation he fails to see that what makes the flashlight shine is spirit not dust. It is also true that when the batteries are removed from the flashlight that neither flashlight or batteries can do anything thus showing their is no immediate life after death. The saints need a new flashlight, a new spirit body that their human spirit can dwell in. 

Kel, you do a decent job in proving the trinity is a lie but in almost everything else you say you are wrong. You fancy yourself to be a biblical expert but in reality are a novice at best.  I credit your biblical ignorance to your working alone in your studies of scripture and have no one to challenge you, no one to say, “hey Kel but what about this ?”  This is a very serious handicap that leads you to error in your conclusions.  You are only one witness in yourself and the word of one witness is useless and worthless, Deuteronomy 19:15  for in a multitude of counselors there is safety, Proverbs 11:14,  and in two or three witnesses is a matter established.  

DOES IRAN HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS ?

 

There is an unconfirmed report that Iran may have nuclear weapons and may test one in the near future. It is speculated that possibly North Korea may have given Iran these weapons.  A CIA analyst appeared on Judge Andrew Napolitanos podcast “Judging Freedom” and made the comment that Iran now has nuclear weapons and intends to test one.  If this information is true it may well explain the reason why president Trump is seeking peace. Trump doesn’t want a nuclear war in the Middle East.  Recently Trump went ballistic on Netanyahu for planning to invade Beirut Lebanon to attack Hezbollah that has been attacking northern Israel. I thought this to be rather strange and I also thought it strange that Trump has not finished off Iran now that they have been extremely weakened by the U.S. and Israel.  Without a regime change in Iran  the problem in the Middle East will will never be resolved.  It is a well known fact that Iran has never honored any agreements they have entered into. There is a scripture that applies to these Iranian people that describes them and all Islamic people.

Genesis 16:12 “He shall be a wild man, his hand shall be against every man and every man’s hand will be against him, and he will live in defiance of all his brothers.”

This scripture is about Abrahams son Ishmael that he had with Hagar the the servant of Sarah Abrahams wife.  Ishmael is the father of todays Arab people and from whom the Islamic people came to be. These people have a very violent history and have attacked many nations including their own people.  The Arab form of Islam differs from that of Iran that is ancient Persia.  Iran believes that the 12th Imam, Muhammad Al Mahdi, who has been in hiding since 868 AD, will return an lead Iran to world domination at a time of great upheaval. This current war is believed by these Iranian leaders to culminate in the arrival of this Mahdi.  This particular sect of Islam is extremely dangerous and fits very well with Genesis 16:12   President Trump knows all of this yet is desperate for peace.  If Trump knows that Iran has nuclear weapons he would not want Israel to know this because Israel would destroy Iran with their own nuclear weapons.  Israel is well aware that they would be Irans first target so they would strike first to avoid being nuked. Can’t say as I would blame them.  This is all of course speculation but if Iran does test detonate a nuclear bomb I look for Israel to destroy Iran.  Then all hell will break loose in the Middle East.  

Zechariah 14:13 “It shall come to pass in that day that a great panic from the Lord will be among them. Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor and raise his hand against his neighbors hand.” 

Isaiah 19:2 “So I will incite Egyptian against Egyptian, brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city and kingdom against kingdom.”

Haggai 2:22 “I will overturn royal thrones and destroy the power of the kingdoms of the nations. I will overturn chariots and their riders, horses and their riders will fall each by the sword of his brother.” 

The victory of Israel over Iran will fill all the hearts of all the people with fear. Israel will by the man of sin revive the old covenant and form a union with ten nations; 5 from the east and 5 from the west of once was the Roman Empire.  Israel will become the foremost nation on earth and it will be thought by them that this man of sin is their messiah. The covenant made will be for 7 years, the first 3 1/2  a false millennium the last 3 1/2 the great tribulation. 

There are articles on this blog that better explain these things.  As with all prophecy we see through a glass darkly but as time moves forward we will see more.  I caution all readers to not become to engrossed in prophetic events because of this reason. It may not come to pas exactly as we now believe or even at a time we may think.  

DID JESUS AFTER HE DIED PREACH TO THE DEAD SPIRITS IN PRISON WHO WERE LIVING IN NOAHS DAY ?

 

Jesus preached to the spirits of living people in his day, not to dead people in Noah’s day. Noah, a preacher of righteousness, preached to the spirits in prison in his day.

Isaiah 61:1 “The spirit of YAHWEH is upon me (Jesus) because YAHWEH has anointed me (Jesus) to proclaim the gospel to the poor. YAHWEH has sent me (Jesus) to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives (those in a spiritual prison) and release from darkness for the prisoners.”

Isaiah 49:9 “To say to the prisoners, come out and to those in darkness show yourselves….”

Isaiah 42:7 “To open the eyes of the blind, to free captives from the prison and to release those who sit in darkness from the prison house.”

Luke 4:20 “Then he (Jesus) rolled up the scroll and returned it to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him and he began to say to them, today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Acts 10:38 “How GOD anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the Devil because GOD was with him.”

Noah preached to living people in his day who were also spirits imprisoned by Satan. Noah was a preacher of righteousness.

2 Peter 2:5 “If GOD did not spare the ancient world when HE brought the flood on its ungodly people but  saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly.” 

Genesis 6:9 “This is the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man blameless in his time ; Noah walked with GOD.”

Hebrews 11:7 “By faith, Noah, when warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.”

It took 120 years to build the ark and during that time GOD waited patiently while Noah preached righteousness to the people to see if any would repent but none did. Only Noah and his family were saved. 

Jesus Christ preached to the spirits in prison quoting Isaiah 61:1 to them.  During all of his 3 1/2 years of preaching only 120 people were in the upper room on the day of Pentecost.  

In these verses of 1 Peter 3:18-20 there is an error in punctuation. After Jesus died, 3 days and nights later, Jesus was made alive by the spirit of GOD.  In his ministry he preached the gospel to the imprisoned spirits, living people of his day, by the same spirit that raised him from the dead. Notice that the spirits of some who were formerly disobedient of which only 120 obeyed and right after the word disobedient there should be a period.  Now Peter is comparing the preaching of Jesus to the preaching of Noah to show how baptism in water was like the water that saved Noah. Paul does a similar thing in 1 Corinthians 10:2  showing the shadow of the law compared to the light of Christ.

Immortality was withheld from humanity after Adam sinned.  A human life is just like that of any other animal, as one dies so does the other. Ecclesiastes 3:19  This truth is still with us today.  No murderer has everlasting life abiding in them.  1 John 3:15   

The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of receiving everlasting life when Jesus returns.  John 6:40,44,54 all these verses say the resurrection happens at the last day when this mortal must put on immortality.  We do not have immortality now or when we die but only at the resurrection in the last day. 

GODS truth, HIS doctrine, never changes.  Certain people read 1 Peter 3:18-20 and conclude that after we die or Jesus died they were still alive and conscious as a disembodied spirit. This idea violates the gospel message and is a deception of Satan. 

1 Corinthians 15:13-18  “If there is no resurrection of the dead then not even Christ has Been resurrected.  If Christ has not been resurrected our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that we are found to be false witnesses about GOD for we have testified about GOD that HE resurrected Christ from the dead. But if HE did not resurrect Christ then the dead are not resurrected from the dead for if then the dead are not resurrected then Christ has not been resurrected either.  And if Christ has not been resurrected your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.  Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.”

Do you not see that the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead, that is making the dead alive again, is the hope of both the living and the dead ?  Paul says plainly that the dead in Christ, those who have fallen asleep, would be lost if there is no resurrection from the dead.  The word lost in verse 18 is Strongs article G622 and it means, to destroy fully or permanent absolute destruction or utterly perish.  The phrase “fallen asleep” is Strongs article G2837 and describes the peaceful death of the elect of GOD where sleep is used as a metaphor for death.  Therefore prior to the resurrection the elect are sleeping in death, totally unaware and unconscious.  There are no exceptions to this doctrine as even Christ had to be resurrected from the dead just as those who are asleep in death must be also.  This is the truth of GOD and anything that contradicts this truth is a lie. Immediate life after death is a lie.  Satans first lie was that humans do not surely die and people who believe this lie believe in immediate life after death. You are an imprisoned spirit awaiting the sentence of death and held in a spiritual prison with no way of escape.  The message of the gospel is the hope that even if dead you can be resurrected from the dead to immortality in the kingdom of GOD.
