Greetings to all the people of Earth. I am an extraterrestrial from a planet about 16 light years from Earth. My mission here is to study you, human beings. I have examined your history, various cultures and morals, political and religious beliefs. Quite by accident I met the administrator of this blog who has graciously agreed to let me share with you the results of my observations. The fact that I am not of your world allows me to have a completely unbiased perspective and my conclusions are therefore very direct, honest and to the point. On my world we have achieved what you would describe as a utopia. We have no wars between ourselves or other planetary neighbors. All of our people live in peace and harmony with equality and mutual respect. What I have observed here on your planet is the exact opposite. Virtually every area and institution of your world is in chaos. Since your earliest times you have been waring against each other and most of those times for reasons that are totally illogical. The vast majority of you are mostly driven by your emotions with little or no understanding or control over yourselves. You think of yourselves as advanced and knowledgeable people but the reality it is just the opposite. Even though you have existed on your planet for millennia you have failed miserably to learn from your past mistakes and continue to repeat them over and over again. On my world we would define this condition as insanity. Even your best efforts to govern yourselves are a failure. You are separated by political ideology, racism, religious beliefs, economic inequality, a fear of one another that produces an atmosphere of hatred, violence and eventually war. The grand council of the galaxy is seriously considering banning all travel to your world for these reasons. I must admit that I am deeply troubled by what I have seen. My final report to the grand council will not be a good one. After examining all the data that I have collected it is my opinion that the human species is doomed to self destruction. In all of this I did see only one way that your species could possibly survive and that is in a collection of ancient writings you call the Bible. In it I have found that there is a benevolent being you call GOD. My people also have writings that are very similar to yours and we have long ago dedicated ourselves to the principles that our ancestors wrote about and this is what saved our species from what yours is currently facing. If the people of earth would only turn themselves over to this GOD of your ancient writings as we did long ago to ours then you may have an opportunity to change your behavior and learn a way that leads to life and peace for all your people. I do hope that you will do this but I must also deal with the facts that I have collected therefore I am going to submit my report to the grand council with my recommendation that your planet be avoided by all of the galactic member planets. What is extremely sad is that I already know that this letter to you will be ignored and you will more than likely continue on your path to destruction. I find myself hoping that I am wrong and that this GOD You do not obey and follow will have mercy for you and save you.
