There is no scripture that directly states that Jesus pre-existed with GOD but there are certain verses that because of mistranslation or deliberate alteration can be used to allude to this idea. John 17:5 is one of these verses. Strongs G2192 can mean “to hold” or “held” or “kept” just as Jesus was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world and we know that Jesus was not slain at that time neither did he exist at that time. In John 17:5 Jesus is asking his FATHER for what was promised to him in the prophets after Jesus finished the work his FATHER gave him to do. This glory Jesus received when he ascended to heaven 40 days after his resurrection from the dead. Jesus was the first human being to be glorified, the first born of many. John 17:22,23,24 the saints are to have the same glory, “and the glory which you gave me I have given them that they may be one just as we are one.” This glory had nothing to do with pre-existence but with the change from flesh to spirit. Jesus was the first human being to be changed from flesh to spirit and we at his return will experience the same change. All of the old covenant writings that referred to Jesus were prophetic, Jesus did not exist in those days and these prophecies were not fulfilled until Jesus was in his mother’s womb. Look how often the authors of the gospels mention a prophecy that Jesus fulfilled. John 12:38 Matthew 13:14
Isaiah 53:12 is one of the promises made by the FATHER to Jesus. In the prophets it is confirmed that the FATHER “alone” was the creator Psalm 83:18 Isaiah 45:18 Those other Elohim at the creation were angels because no other beings existed then. The Almighty spoke to these angels about HIS will and in it would include the angels.
Let’s go to another scripture; Hebrews 2:17 “Jesus had to be made like all other humans in “every way.” I know of no other human beings that pre-existed with the FATHER in eternity, do you ? The phrase “to be made” means to be created in “every way” like all humans. Jesus was a soul, a living breathing creature, Strongs G5590. &. H5314 . The phrase, “in every way”, Strongs G3956 To be totally human, in every way, rules out the idea that Jesus could have existed prior to his birth as a human being. This idea violates how the scriptures define what a human is. What made Jesus Christ special was that he was totally spiritually connected to his GOD and FATHER and in this this way they dwelled in each other. The FATHER and Jesus were “one” in this sense. This oneness expressed by righteousness and agape making Jesus the perfect man. This was and still is today the divine nature in all its fullness in Jesus who demonstrated to us his FATHERS love and righteousness but Jesus possessed none of the FATHERS attributes; omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscience. Jesus was not GOD, not part of a trinity or binary GOD, not the creator and did not pre-exist with GOD in eternity. Jesus was a man, a human being just like all humans except he was 100% immersed in the spirit of the FATHER. Jesus was righteous, the only righteous man that has ever lived and Jesus was agape, he loved with the same love as his FATHER. There will never be another like him among humanity.
Another scripture to consider; 1 Corinthians 15:21 says that by the first Adam, a man, came death, the second Adam, a man , made possible through his sacrifice the resurrection of the dead. This says nothing about a pre-existing being that became a man, it says just a man. 1 Timothy 2:5 a man, who was later made immortal , is the mediator between GOD and man. Romans 5:17 again, a man, Jesus Christ.
Scripture says that GOD THE FATHER is the creator and that all things HE created were for Jesus, Hebrews 1:2 the word “through” gives a false impression that Jesus was the creator but when examining Strongs G1223 we see this word means , “by reason of, for the sake of, on account of, because of” . The FATHER, the creator made all things for HIS son, Jesus is the heir of GODS creation and we, the saints are to be joint heirs with Jesus, we will have a share in the creation of GOD. Jesus is not his own heir he is GODS heir.
The idea that Jesus Christ pre-existed in eternity with the FATHER is bull dung. The scriptures I have given explain in detail that Christ was 100% human and never existed prior to being formed, created, in his mother’s womb. GOD the FATHER only became the GOD of Jesus when he was conceived by the Holy Spirit of the FATHER in the womb of Mary. Psalm 22:10 Isaiah 49:1,5,6,8 Philippians 2:7 is falsely claimed by some to say that Jesus “emptied” himself of his pre-existent status but that is not what the word emptied means. Strongs G2758 look under the heading “usage” it says to divest oneself of status or privilege, continue reading, it reflects the Christian ethos of humility and self sacrifice. What this means is that Jesus knew he was the son of GOD but did not boast about it but humbled himself as GODS servant, Acts 10:38 Isaiah 61:1 Matthew 20:28 The same meaning is behind, Philippians 2:5,6,7,8 verses that also need clarification. Verse 8 is the key understanding of this section of scripture. Jesus humbles himself, he knows that he is as righteous as GOD and has the same agape as GOD. The words “something to be grasped” is better translated as “something to be used to his own advantage” , Jesus was indeed equal with GOD in righteousness and love but not in the attributes that only GOD has.
It is a fact that throughout scripture it is confirmed that there is only ONE GOD. There are numerous scriptures that state this unequivocally. I should not have to show anyone familiar with the scriptures that this is true. The ONE GOD has what are called attributes, specifically; omnipotence (unlimited almighty power), omniscience (unlimited infinite knowledge and wisdom), omnipresence (being everywhere at the same moment) and being eternal with no beginning or end being uncreated. If Jesus had these attributes he would be GOD ALMIGHTY, and what this means is that there would be 2 GODS not just one. It would be the trinity minus one. It would be polytheism not monotheism and would violate the hundreds of scriptures that categorically say there is only ONE GOD. The prophets, the Apostles and Jesus himself confirm the existence of only ONE TRUE GOD. Isaiah 43:10 Isaiah 46:9
There are many other scriptures used to “prove” false ideas and doctrines that are believed by the false churches. A good rule in the spirit is that if false churches teach something it is either a lie mixed with some truth or just an outright lie.
