2 Corinthians 11:4

“For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received or a different gospel which you have not accepted you may well put up with it !”  2 Corinthians 11:4

The gospel is a message from GOD the FATHER through HIS son Jesus Christ.  It details how a person can have the hope of salvation.  The human being that GOD created to preach this gospel was not GOD ALMIGHTY, it was HIS 100% human son.  GOD did not die for us, a righteous man did.  If people do not know this what would that mean ?  The true gospel, of which is only one, is not a message about a triune GOD whose second member became a man and provided a way for salvation by his death and resurrection.  I thought that GOD could not die, and wouldn’t one member of a trinity becoming a human effect the nature of a distinct but not separate triune GOD ?  In all of this we have a different GOD, a different Jesus and a different gospel because none of its teachings are true.

Romans 1:16  “The gospel is the power of GOD unto salvation”  this seems very clear, the gospel is what we must know the truth of in order to have the hope of salvation.  Paul seemed to think that the gospel is what saves us, but we must hold firmly to its message.  1 Corinthians 15:1,2 

What if people who call themselves Christians do not know or understand the meaning, message and believe in another gospel that is totally different?  Paul said, Galatians 1:11,12  ,  how Paul received the gospel that he preached is the same way we all receive it.  GOD teaches us the gospel by divine revelation through Jesus Christ.  John 6:44,45  There is no other way to receive it.

Ephesians 4:4,5,6   There is only one gospel, one true GOD, one messiah.  To obey the gospel you have to know and understand the gospel otherwise you can’t obey the gospel. 

 2 Thessalonians 1:8   Wow, sure sounds like people that don’t know GOD and aren’t obeying the gospel are going to be in very big trouble.  I would think that this would apply to any religion that teaches a false gospel or false God, wouldn’t you ?  

For someone who considers themself to be a Christian to just slap the label of Christian on people who obviously do not know GOD, Christ or the message of the gospel seems extremely foolish.  The evidence from scripture is very plain and to deny it calls GOD, Jesus and the Apostles liars.  

Instead of just slapping the label Christian on anyone who claims to be a Christian wouldn’t it be wise to go with what GOD has inspired in the scriptures to identify HIS people ?   Otherwise you may well put up with it.   Think on it.
