CORNELIUS CHRISTIANS

In the book of Acts , Acts 10:1-48 , is the account of the first recorded conversion of a Gentile.  There is in this account many lessons to learn.  At this time I want to focus on a lesson we all need to learn about this incident.  I called this article the Cornelius Christians because the manner of how the conversion of Cornelius and his household differs from the conventional manner that had been used by the Apostles.  The difference was that Cornelius and his house received the Holy Spirit prior to baptism.  Now the carnal world has differing interpretations of this event but the truth is that GOD was showing that HE was also calling the Gentiles to the faith.  This was the beginning of the calling of the Gentiles.  

What is important to see also is that even while Cornelius received the Spirit before baptism, baptism was still required.   In the times after the church was scattered to the four winds and without formal organization under the Apostles  the Cornelius Christian became the norm.  All of GODS elect saints from the time the organizational structure of the first century church disappeared are converted in the same manner as Cornelius was.  Look at how scattered the true church is and has been since about the beginning of the second century.  There was no human ministry, no preaching of the gospel, no church meetings and no recognition by the carnal world that we true Christians even exist.  

GOD would have to give us HIS spirit first to even understand spiritual things well enough to even come out of the church cult we were baptized into.  To give us the spiritual eyes to see that we were in a Satanic cult, baptized into a Satanic church.  Remember Revelation 12:9  1 John 5:19  these scriptures are true, the entire world that claims to be Christian is in reality of the Devil.  If we were in any of them we were in a church of the Devil.  Did not GOD call us out of this darkness and into HIS light ?  To even see this and understand this the spirit of GOD had to be in us to show us this and give us the strength to leave, to come out from among them and be separate so that GOD receives us.  Then just as what transpired with Cornelius must with us too.  Water should not be forbidden, Christ commanded baptism, it was always the practice of the Apostles and this cannot be denied.  Therefore if you have experienced what I call the Cornelius Christian conversion then you absolutely need to be obedient to Christ and be baptized in his name.

The order of things may change but the truth of them remains the same.  The ancient Christians like Able, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were never baptized but did indeed have the Holy Spirit.  In order to confirm the promises made to these fathers of the faith, Jesus was baptized to fulfill all righteousness.  Jesus was baptized for them not himself.  The promises given to the fathers was the new covenant the message of the gospel that GOD taught to them. This covenant needed to be confirmed as well as the righteousness of faith from GOD that the fathers all had.  The seed of Abraham, Jesus, would come and confirm the covenant and all righteousness.  Romans 15:8   Acts 13:32-33    Micah 7:20  Then baptism replaced circumcision as a sign of the new covenant.  So you see how the ancient saints are like us today having been given the spirit before baptism but baptism still was done to fulfill all righteousness and confirm the promises made to the fathers.

 When we were caught up in the deception of whatever Satanic church we were in we did not know these things but at some point GOD intervened to call us and we answered the call as Abraham did saying, “here am I”.  In our minds, our thoughts, our human spirit GOD was speaking to us through Jesus Christ.  “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved but those not believing will be condemned.” Mark 16:16  Peter believed baptism was very important, 1 Peter 3:21 “And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you.”  There is also Romans 6:3-4  “baptized into his death”.  Titus 3:5 “the washing of new birth”.  Galatians 3:27 “baptism is to be clothed with Christ”   John 3:5; “Truly truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of GOD unless he is born of water (baptism) and spirit.”  “In one spirit we are baptized into one body (the true church, not the false one we were called out of) and given one spirit to drink.”  1 Corinthians 12:13  

When I and a few others came out of one of Satans cults we realized that the baptism into that cult was false and we were led by the spirit to see that we needed the one true baptism.  After we submitted to this baptism our spiritual growth accelerated significantly. 

Today we are like Abraham dwelling in a world that in the future we will inherit and none of the promises have yet been fulfilled, GOD having provided a better thing for us that they should not be made perfect apart from us.  

Whenever a person is called out of the world they need to be baptized with the one true baptism.

Ephesians 4:4  “only one baptism into one faith in one GOD, in the one hope of our calling, into the one true church.”  The baptism you and I had in Satans church was not it.
