2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
This verse is directed toward ancient Israel. It can’t be for the true church because they have already humbled themselves, prayed, sought GODS face and turned from our wicked ways. The promises GOD gives to ancient Israel are not the same as the promises given to the church. The promises to ancient Israel are; hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land. The promises to the true church are; hear from heaven, forgive their sin and receive everlasting life as an impeccable righteous spirit being with the exact same GODLY love and righteousness as Jesus Christ. To be truly in the image of GOD. Here on Earth the saints have no land because their citizenship is in a far off country, the kingdom of GOD. The saints still need to pray and ask for forgiveness and seek GOD but the ultimate reward is far greater than that of ancient carnal Israel. The conditions for ancient Israel to have their promises fulfilled are; humble themselves, pray, seek GODS face and turn from their wicked ways. The true church has already committed to these conditions. The true church has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit now but ancient Israel will not until the second resurrection as is shown in Jeremiah 31:31-40 specifically verses 33-34 . This agrees with Hebrews 8:8-10 & Hebrews 10:16-17 & Ezekiel 36:24-38 goes into greater detail about the future restoration of Israel in the second resurrection. Proof that this will happen during the second resurrection is that king David will rule over Israel which is found in Jeremiah 30:9 , Jeremiah 23:5 and Ezekiel 37:24 King David will be resurrected in the first resurrection along with all the saints from righteous Able to the last one called and chosen. It will be a thousand years later that carnal Israel will be resurrected in the flesh as proved by the valley of dry bones, Ezekiel 37:1-28 notice verses 4-14 speaking of tendons, skin and breath, none of those things compose a spirit being which is what King David will have been for a thousand years previously to the people in the second resurrection, the time of ancient Israel’s promises to be fulfilled. It will not just be ancient Israel but all unconverted people since Adam will be in the second resurrection. In the second resurrection all people will have the Holy Spirit, be teachable, will be taught the gospel and have their first and only opportunity for salvation. After all of this is completed then the great white throne judgment takes place and anyone who has committed the unpardonable sin, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, will be cast into the lake of fire which is the second death, everlasting death.
There is hope for all people that have ever or will ever live. What is misunderstood is that it happens at three different times; today before the return of Christ, in the millennium and finally the second resurrection. As long as a person does not commit the unpardonable sin then they have a sure hope of all the awesome blessings that GOD has promised
