DOERS OF THE WORD
Thursday, March 24, 2016

KJV James 1:19-26
19.  Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
 20.  For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
 21.  Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
 22.  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
 23.  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
 24.  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
 25.  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
 26.  If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

What we have been taught thus far by the Spirit of the Father concerns doctrine; the truth of God on various subjects.  We have learned about life and death, sin, the law and grace, the true identity of God and Jesus and many other things.  We first had to learn the truth now we must apply the truth in our lives.  We knew sin is lust in our thoughts but we have yet to learn how to not lust.  We need to address the carnal things in our lives that are sin and by the power of the Spirit develop the nature of God and Jesus so as to avoid sin.  The wife of the Lamb article was about LOVE and that we as saints need to love one another as well as our carnal neighbor.  We learned in that study all the many wonderful things that come to us because of this love.  When it came to learning the truth in doctrine I was used to bring you the words and God, by His Spirit, God opened your understanding to the words.  This however is a very different thing; being a doer of those words, and I cannot do that for you, nor you for me, we travel this road ourselves with God and Jesus.

KJV Philippians 2:12-16
12.  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
 13.  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
 14.  Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
 15.  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
 16.  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

  This is a very serious thing and it is our testing to prove us and to be found as a people who live and practice what we have been taught.

KJV 2 Peter 1:3-12
 3.  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
 4.  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
 5.  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
 6.  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
 7.  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
 8.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
 9.  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
 10.  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
 11.  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
 12.  Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

KJV 1 Corinthians 6:1-8
 1.  Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
 2.  Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
 3.  Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
 4.  If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
 5.  I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
 6.  But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
 7.  Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
 8.  Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

KJV Galatians 2:17-18
17.  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
 18.  For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

KJV Philippians 4:4-8
 4.  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
 5.  Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
 6.  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
 7.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
 8.  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

KJV Titus 3:8
 8.  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

KJV Hebrews 2:1
 1.  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

KJV James 2:20-24
 20.  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
 21.  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
 22.  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
 23.  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
 24.  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

KJV James 5:9
 9.  Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

KJV Romans 6:1-11
1.  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
 2.  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
 3.  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
 4.  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
 5.  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
 6.  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
 7.  For he that is dead is freed from sin.
 8.  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
 9.  Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
 10.  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
 11.  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

KJV Ephesians 4:22-32
 22.  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
 23.  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
 24.  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
 25.  Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
 26.  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
 27.  Neither give place to the devil.
 28.  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
 29.  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
 30.  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
 31.  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
 32.  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

KJV Colossians 3:1-10
 1.  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
 2.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
 3.  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
 4.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
 5.  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
 6.  For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
 7.  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
 8.  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
 9.  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
 10.  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

The private things, the secret things we hide from others are seen by God.

If we do not seek God for help in doing and remain only a hearer of the word; God will know.

KJV Numbers 32:23
 23.  But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.

The Holy Spirit is called “the helper” because we need help from the Father to be a doer.  We are not ignorant of the truth of these things.  What thing in any of our lives is worth giving up the awesome future God wants to give us?  This will begin with us, the saints, because if we cannot be doers to each other then how can we be fit for the kingdom of God?  Let us all seriously examine ourselves to see our sins and with God overcome them.

There is an angelic being called Satan and he is our enemy.  His goal is to destroy us, to get us to commit the unpardonable sin. Scripture informs us that the saints are aware of the tactics Satan uses to attack us.

KJV 2 Corinthians 2:11
11.  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Satan will use the carnal streak that remains in each one of us to cause us to respond to troubles and challenges of this life in a carnal way rather than a spiritual way.  This will cause all kinds of problems in the relationships we have in this life.  We fall into this trap by not going to God first but rather responding with the old man or woman, the carnal part of us that we have not yet killed.

KJV Ephesians 4:22-24
 22.  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
 23.  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
 24.  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

KJV Colossians 3:9-10
 9.  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
 10.  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

We all are like spiritual drunkards staggering through life and God wants to sober us up.  We can be drunk on sin.  Have you ever noticed that we seem to repeat sin over and over?  This is because we all too often rely on our own efforts which are carnal to deal with the issues of life and do not go To God for the help we need.  We pay the price of a spiritual hangover afterwards.  Satan wants us to stay drunk and never get the help from God that we need.  We are engaged in spiritual warfare with Satan and without God we will lose.  We must end the cycle of behavior that leads to the hurt and pain sin causes.  If your life is not happy it is because you are drunk and the life of a drunk is not a good life.

A drunk will say, think and do things that they never would when sober, sin is the same way.  In any human relationship when we allow anger, hatred, envy, jealousy, pride, vanity and failing to honor commitments we have made then we are spiritually drunk.

KJV Isaiah 29:9
 9.  Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

KJV Isaiah 56:10-12
10.  His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
 11.  Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
 12.  Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

KJV 1 Thessalonians 5:6-9

 6.  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
 7.  For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
 8.  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
 9.  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

DO NOT allow pride, embarrassment or ignorance blind us to not address these sins.

KJV Psalms 107:27-28
 27.  They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
 28.  Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

Have you ever been at your wits end?  The result of sin is pain and suffering therefore if your life with others has pain and suffering there is sin somewhere.

If you were the only human being on Earth your sins would be limited for you could not commit adultery, murder, theft or lie.  Most of our sins involve relationships with other people; friends, strangers, parents, brethren, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, children.

It is in these relationships that Satan can use against us, these are some of his devices.  How we as saints conduct ourselves can have a positive or negative effect.  In the carnal world we see that people hurt one another in all the relationships listed above.  The carnal response to being hurt by another is to hurt back, to seek revenge, this can be in words or deeds or both.  It is not the character of the Father or the Christ to react to others in this way.  Scripture teaches us how we should handle these problems.

KJV Proverbs 15:1-7
 1.  A Soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
 2.  The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
 3.  The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
 4.  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
 5.  A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
 6.  In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
 7.  The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.

KJV Matthew 5:25-26
 25.  Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
 26.  Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

KJV Matthew 5:38-48
 38.  Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
 39.  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
 40.  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
 41.  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
 42.  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
 43.  Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
 44.  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
 45.  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
 46.  For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
 47.  And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
 48.  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

KJV Romans 12:21
 21.  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

By responding in LOVE much sin, hurt and suffering can be avoided  This is for us impossible without the spirit of the Father helping us.  This practice must begin in our small group using this love from God in every situation.

In my life I have had a problem with anger in dealings with people at the paper mill.  I did not use the spirit of the Father but my own carnal methods and this made things worse and was sin to me.  My temper caused my own pain and sorrow.

KJV James 1:19-20
 19.  Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
 20.  For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

This sin of anger was also in my relationship with Coni as I lost patience with her when she wanted my help with projects around the house.  God has given me a wonderful helpmate in Coni; she works a full time job, cleans the house, does the laundry, cooks the meals, keeps her self attractive for me, and works outside; I am a blessed man to have her and I should not have treated her in this way.  I believe God used this trial to teach me my sin.  I prayed about this  asking God not only for forgiveness but for the power to overcome this sin.  Since that time Coni has noticed a change in me and is aware of my prayer about the matter. Our relationship has improved and we are more loving toward one another.  If I would happen to have a relapse I would hope that she would understand and forgive me knowing that we all are weak and subject to mistakes.
I learned, grew and overcame with God and Christ in this matter and I know that we all can as well.

KJV John 16:33
 33.  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

KJV Acts 14:22
 22.  Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

KJV Romans 5:3-4
3.  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
 4.  And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

KJV Romans 12:12
12.  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

KJV 2 Corinthians 1:3-7
3.  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
 4.  Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
 5.  For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
 6.  And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
 7.  And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

All of us in our lives will face trials and tribulations.

KJV 2 Timothy 3:12
 12.  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

KJV 2 Peter 2:9
9.  The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

This is how we grow and bear fruit to God.

KJV John 15:4-5
 4.  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
 5.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

KJV Ephesians 5:9-10
9.  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
 10.  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

We must overcome and be a doer of the word.

KJV Psalms 38:1-22
 1.  O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
 2.  For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
 3.  There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
 4.  For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
 5.  My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
 6.  I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
 7.  For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
 8.  I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
 9.  Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
 10.  My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
 11.  My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
 12.  They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
 13.  But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
 14.  Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
 15.  For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
 16.  For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
 17.  For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
 18.  For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
 19.  But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
 20.  They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
 21.  Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
 22.  Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

BE A DOER

KJV Matthew 7:19-27
 19.  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
 20.  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
 21.  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
 22.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
 23.  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
 24.  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
 25.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
 26.  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
 27.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

KJV Luke 6:46-49
46.  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
 47.  Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
 48.  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
 49.  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

KJV John 3:21
 21.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

KJV 1 John 2:17
 17.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

KJV Acts 26:18
18.  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

All of us have private matters in our lives that are sin.  Whatever causes anger, grief, fighting, discord, disrespect or any other negative thing that is against Gods love is sin.  Pretending they do not exist or ignoring them will cause problems in your spiritual walk with the Lord.

I was given this message from Christ to give to us all. This is the time for us all to see the seriousness of these sins that have crept into our lives.  Since we are all married couples we need to work together as such to help one another in love, mercy and compassion toward one another asking God through Christ to help us with the helper HE has given to us all.  I know that if we do not address these things it will very seriously effect our salvation.  I have shared with you some of my sins and how I was shown to deal with them by seeking the power form God to overcome.  To be in Gods kingdom we must be over-comers.  Over-comers are doers of the word, not hearers only.

KJV Revelation 2:7

  This article is different from those of the past because it involves personal and delicate issues that have never been addressed in this way.  I am not a spiritual sheriff out to gun down sinners for if I was I would have to shoot myself.  I have no power or authority over you but I do love you.  I know this message came from God through Christ to me for a reason and that reason is to get the bride ready by having her be a doer by overcoming her sins with the power of God.  The potential good that may come from this would heal our lives from the many wounds inflicted on them by the devil.  It will give us the ability to quench the fiery darts Satan throws at us.  It will produce the fruit of the spirit of the Father in us.  It will make us the sons and daughters of God.

KJV Romans 8:12-13
12.  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
 13.  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
