REVELATION CHAPTER 13

 Revelation Chapter 13                                                                                                                        

         

 “Then I stood upon the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea having 7 heads and 10 horns, and on his horns 10 crowns and on his heads a blasphemous name.” Revelation 13:1

In scripture a beast is symbolized of a nation. The book of the prophet Daniel uses the same symbolism. The rising up out of the sea. Rising up means means a nation’s beginning and the sea symbolizes peoples, languages and nations. This nation that rises is populated by people of different languages from various nations of the earth. The 10 horns are the 10 toes of the image in Daniel 2:31-35

 

 

  The 7 heads are are revealed to be 7 mountains, Revelation 17:9.   Later on we discovered that a harlot sits on these seven mountains where are many waters, or a mix of people.  This harlot is the capital city of the beast nation because she is described as sitting on the beast which indicates she controls the beast. 

 

                                        

 Revelation 17:18 tells us the harlot, THIS GREAT CITY, reigns over the kings of the earth, those 10 kings with the crowns on their heads. Revelation 17:11-13   This harlot city of the beast nation is THE GREAT CITY where Jesus was crucified. Referring to Jerusalem.  Jeremiah the prophet says,  Jeremiah 22:8-9 "This great city".   Revelation 11:8   The biblical figure of the man of sin or the antichrist will rule from Jerusalem during the seven year period in which he revives the old covenant and makes an image of Solomon's Israel. 

 

                                         

  He rebuilds the temple and reaffirms the law,

 

                                        

 has a false Elijah the prophet who calls fire down from heaven to burn up the sacrifices on the altar during all the holy days of Israel. 

 

                                                

 

The 2 witnesses will be killed in Jerusalem, the harlot city.  

 

                                      

 In the future the modern day nation of Israel that is populated by Israelites from various nations speaking different languages, rose up out of the sea of humanity.  This nation out of the sea, "was, is not and yet is.." Revelation 17:8, it is a nation that once existed but totally disappeared only to appear again.  Modern day Israel is the only nation to ever do this.   Because Israel rejected their messiah and murdered him the mountains she sets on have a blasphemous name.  Anyone who does not believe that Jesus is the messiah and son of GOD is antichrist,  1 John 4:3  2 John 1:7

Scripture mentions one of the heads (mountains) of the beast is inflicted with a deadly wound.   

                                     

 Wounded by the sword (war) and did live. Revelation 13:14

 The wounded mountain is Mount Moriah where the second temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. 

 

  Revelation 13:3  This deadly wound of the mountain, the destroyed temple, is healed by the construction of the third temple and this will amaze and marvel the people. 

            

The image of the beast, Revelation 13:14-15 or Israel is after the glory days of King Solomon who every year received a total weight in gold of, 666 talents, 3.65 billion dollars. 1 Kings 10:14

                                      

This very thing is what the disciples of Jesus were expecting.  Acts 1:6  "Will you at this time restore the Kingdom unto Israel ?"   This is why the number of the beast is the number of a man that he makes an image of, King Solomon and the glory of his Kingdom.   For the first 3 1/2 years of the 7 year covenant Israel becomes a very rich and powerful nation and most of the world follows after its leader,

   the antichrist                       

After the 3 1/2 years the man of sin, the antichrist, breaks the covenant and proclaims himself GOD. 

2 Thessalonians 2:4 "He as GOD sits in the temple of GOD, showing himself as GOD"

 This begins the time of Jacobs (Israels) trouble, the great tribulation, because the people of Israel have always know that GOD has never been a man.    This tribulation will be cut short for the sake of the elect saints of GOD.  Matthew 24:22   Christ will return and stop it.   

The days given by Daniel and Revelation confirm the mid point of the tribulation is 1260 days but at 1335 days Jesus returns.  Daniel 12:12 “Blessed is he who waits and comes to the 1335 days”  then there is the 1290 days when the abomination of desolation is set up,  Daniel 12:11.  The Hebrew year has 30 day months times 12= 360 days times the full 7 years of the covenant = 2520 days cut short by 220 days is 2300 days, the final number of days in Daniel 8:14

These dates do not reveal any exact day and hour but when the AC covenant is made it will begin the clock ticking to the countdown of the end of the age.

                              

 The saints will know that at some point in the  2300 days Jesus will return.  Certainly, when the two witnesses are killed in Jerusalem it will be 3 1/2 days till Jesus returns because the witnesses are resurrected and rise into the air.  Revelation 11:11-12  "Come up here, and they went up to heaven in a cloud."

All the saints will be raised from the dead but a small remnant yet alive will ascend up to meet Jesus in the air.  1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

GODS MIND IS NOT YOUR MIND - GODS THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS UNTIL YOU HAVE HIS SPIRIT

 

Receiving truth from GOD by divine revelation is a profound, transformative and deeply personal experience that transcends human intellectual understanding.  It’s not about merely accumulating facts it is an encounter with the spirits of the FATHER and son.  It’s been described as a “light bulb moment” , 

 

 “a burning in the human spirit” , 

 

“a weight of truth that brings peace”  “freedom from the slavery to lies”

 

 

 

 and is a surrender to a reality that is higher and more real than anything else.  It’s not just about gaining knowledge, it’s about being changed by the ONE who is truth. 

 

After being converted when you read scripture things are not the same.  Scriptures that you may have read a hundred times now convey a message you see for the first time.  The Holy Spirit is joined to your human spirit enabling you to understand things that before you were converted would have been impossible.  There are many examples that I could use to show how the spirit of GOD guides and teaches us. 

 I will use Matthew 24:5 “For many will come in my name saying I am the Christ and will deceive many"

The way the false Churches explain this verse is that many will actually claim to be Jesus and will deceive many people.  This explanation is false.  What this verse is saying is that many will come acknowledging and testifying that Jesus is the messiah and at the same time deceive many people. While affirming the fact Jesus is the messiah at the same time they pervert the message of the gospel and the true identity of Jesus. 

The Holy Spirit had already taught me about the mass deception in this world and that all the churches are false churches.  Then the spirit enabled me to see that if you come in another’s name you don’t claim to be that person.  I could see that the commas in this verse were arranged in a manner as to support this false idea but this attempt fails when you have been shown the truth by GODS spirit.  

This is only one verse but the same basic spiritual method is applied to all learning by the FATHER.  GOD opens your mind to be receptive to scripture in a way that will not contradict but produce unity in the messages of scripture.  All the confusing explanations concerning the trinity fall apart when the spirit shows you the truth by guiding you to see things like altered scriptures, contradictions produced by the lie and improper use of pronouns or misplaced punctuation. 

 

 

 

 You begin to develop a spiritual instinct that when you hear a lie you recognize it almost instantly.  

 

 A truth of GOD recorded in scripture is that no one without the Holy Spirit can understand spiritual things because they are spiritually discerned.  Each thing you learn is a nugget of truth to store In your spirit. Over time you will have a storehouse of GODS truth 

 

 to draw upon if faced with situations where someone is preaching lies.  Everything I have written on this blog was done using the spiritual process I described.  Jesus said the spirit is what guides us into all truth, not our own thinking.  The world operates with their own thinking because they are devoid of the spirit.  We saints gave up that way of thinking and let GOD think for us.  GOD has the power to make Gomer Pyle into an Albert Einstein if HE desires. 

 

 

  Human intelligence comes from GOD not from a brain made out of dust, this knowledge is also from GOD.  GOD gives us our inspiration by HIS Spirit.  Job 32:8  Proverbs 2:6   1 Corinthians 2:9-13   Why is it that even some of GODS elect saints don’t seem to understand these things ?  It is because they are yet babes in Christ having yet to make this discovery. 

 

 

 That how they think is garbage, wood, hay and stubble but how GOD thinks is gold, silver and precious stones. 

 

  Babes in Christ credit themselves with what spiritual knowledge they have when in fact ALL of it came from GOD.  To deny this fact will deny the scriptures I have shown about this.  Babes need to throw out their thoughts and submit to GODS thoughts.  John 14:26 is a verse I can relate to because my mind/spirit contains what GOD has taught me and I can recall much of it when needed.  It’s just there, always with me.  Psalm 139:17-18  King David was like all the saints……. Psalm 40:5   Psalm 92:5  Our thoughts are to become like the thoughts of Jesus who thought like his FATHER.  If you have learned any spiritual knowledge it came from the FATHER through Jesus Christ.  John 6:45   1 John 2:27

John 10:27  That voice in your thoughts, mind, spirit is the voice of Christ teaching you what the FATHER wants you to know. 

 

 Babe’s mistake this voice for their own and incorrectly think they “figured things out”.  No one that has ever come to the knowledge of the truth has done so by their own thinking. Actually your thinking will get in the way to further growth in the Spirit.  Part of the old man you must kill is how he thinks.  We must develop the mind of Christ,  Romans 12:2

 

 Ephesians 4:3  2 Corinthians 5:17  Philippians 2:5

The scriptures are loaded with teachings about how we must be changed in how we think and grow in the spirit to be like Christ.

ARE YOU LEADING OR IS GOD LEADING ?

 There is a huge difference in leading yourself and  being led by the spirit of GOD.  All of us have our own personalities and methods of how we understand things. 

                                      

 Some people require very little or no proof at all to make judgments or determinations about things pertaining to their lives while a very small minority of people have given up on leading themselves and in faith let GOD lead them. 

                                        

  In spiritual matters leading yourself is like hiring a guide to lead you through the wilderness but rather than letting the guide lead, you lead. 

                        

  This will get you into trouble in both physical and spiritual situations.  A new convert to the one and only true faith overtime must learn this as they, being fresh out of the world, are transitioning from leading self to GOD leading them.  A person that is a practical, pragmatic individual focuses on the details of something when faced with a problem.  They approach spiritual things in a physical way.  They want to lead rather than be led because they feel uncomfortable not being in control.

                           A rigid adherence to solve a problem before they even understand the problem.  This is a leftover from their previous unconverted life, excess baggage from a worldly way of thinking.  

                                      

Being led by the spirit is giving up control, giving up your method of trying to understand spiritual things and let GOD be your guide, let GOD lead.  Abraham left everything to follow GOD, to be led by GOD, and didn’t know where he was going. 

                         

 This is true faith and the ultimate in trust.  The nitty gritty, the nuts and bolts,  the brass tacks, the ins and outs way of thinking goes out the window when GOD leads but if you try to lead all your former ways of thinking will not produce what you actually desire.  You get in your own way when you try to be the leader in spiritual things. 

                  

 Romans 8:14 “For all who are led by the spirit of GOD these are the sons of GOD” , Galatians 5:18 “But if you are led by the spirit you are not under the law” .  The way to understanding anything spiritual is by GODS spirit only, 1 Corinthians 2:12  The spirit of the world is whatever our former way of thinking was.  1 Corinthians 2:14 “the unconverted mind cannot understand the things of the spirit of GOD because they are spiritually discerned” .  With a babe in Christ their old way of thinking clashes with the spiritual way of thinking and will cause issues with their understanding. 

                   

 They must overcome this by first realizing this is happening.  As I have written about before, all true saints today are Cornelius Christians, they first receive the Holy Spirit then afterwards are baptized in the name of Jesus.  This act of faith will aid the babe In Christ to overcome the problem of the conflicting leadership.  The spirit of GOD is what guides us into all truth,  John 16:13  and we do not lead we follow like Abraham did, in faith trusting in GOD to lead us rather than trying to lead ourselves. 

                   

 As long as you feel the need to be the guide you will have problems in understanding.  

I do not write these things to offend or to sound superior because once, a long time ago, I too was a babe in Christ.  There was a time that I believed that there were two GODS, the greater GOD the FATHER and the lesser GOD Jesus Christ.  I was in a cult that taught this idolatrous blasphemous heresy but I believed it with all my heart.  When I was converted and given the Holy Spirit this powerful deception remained with me for some time .  Then GOD decided it was time to reveal the truth to not only me but several others that I fellowship with.  One of these brethren came to me very troubled and told me that all day he was hearing a voice in his mind saying, “the throne of GOD and the Lamb”. 

                         

 This was from Revelation 22:3 and because I knew my brother very well I did not discount what he was saying.  This experience caused me to look more closely into the two GOD idea that we all had.  In doing so I let the spirit lead me because I was not fit to lead, I was ignorant and in need of spiritual guidance.  Well, the spirit did lead me to see the truth about the FATHER is the only true GOD and Jesus was the messiah, two separate beings.  Needless to say I was shocked when this knowledge was given to me and immediately knew that I needed to repent of my sinful thinking, that excess baggage I had was thrown out.  Things like this will happen to all babes in Christ.  It will not happen until you let GOD lead and you follow.  

Jesus did not lead himself, his FATHER led him.  The FATHER did all the miracles and told Jesus what to say and do.  This is how it is to be with the saints.  The cost of being in Christ is everything, it’s our complete life.  This will include how we think about anything.  It is impossible to be over spiritualized.  We learn to think spiritually to develop the mind of Christ. 

 When first converted all things become new spiritually but the old way of carnal thinking is yet present and needs to die so the new way can live.  If you give yourself to GOD then HE will give HIMSELF to you, the more you give the more you you receive.  To whom much is given more will be required.  This “more” is in the form of being a servant to others in the church, to edify, to lift up, build faith and serve in love. 

                   

  The strong are to bear the weak or, the mature saint helps the babe.  The babe should not be offended by this but rather through fellowship with the mature hear more mature things that the spirit will teach you about.  It is the same spirit that taught the mature that will teach the babe.  

In 1 Corinthians 14:3 Paul explains the role of a New Testament prophet.  Acts 15:32 “to encourage and strengthen the brethren” ,  “for edification, encouragement and comfort”.  In church meetings Paul gave instructions, 1 Corinthians 14:29-32  this is what the saints still do to this day. 

                      

  The things revealed to a prophet are the restoration of lost truth caused by the great deception, it is the spirit of that Elijah to come that restores all things.  Matthew 17:11  Also in Malachi 4:5-6 there is a prophecy concerning this very thing.  This restored spiritual knowledge was then by the same spirit of GOD instilled in the minds of all the prophets and prophetesses in the church.  The prophets could teach no one, they only spoke what GODS spirit told them and that same spirit of Elijah would teach the others also.  This is the only way anyone comes to the knowledge of the truth of GOD.  

A new convert by fellowship with these mature saints can all drink of one spirit together. They all are empowered to grow spiritually.  This is how it works.   It all begins for the new convert with becoming spiritually minded  and stop trying to lead themselves but letting GOD lead them.  You can’t lead yourself into all truth, only GOD can do that but fellowship with mature brethren is a tremendous help. 

                    

 When I was converted I did not have the help of mature brethren, I was alone, and because of this there was given to me a generous supply of spiritual guidance and knowledge that took over my personality and enabled me to remember the things I was taught with great clarity as they became part of me.  By sharing what I was given with others only a few were given the same things I was given by the same spirit.  This produced a spiritual bond that has lasted over 30 years.  So I say to all the new converts to Christ that read these words take advantage of those saints who have been eating meat for many years, hear them out, then take what they say to GOD for HIS verification.
