What Would be the Point of Jesus Being Resurrected in the Mortal Flesh?

February 19, 2021

Christ gave the sign of Jonah as a proof of his being the Messiah. As Jonah would be three days and three nights in the belly of the fish, Jesus would be three days and three nights in the tomb.  When the fish vomited up Jonah it was symbolic of a resurrection of the dead.  When Jesus was risen it was an actual resurrection of his mortal physical body because Jonah was not glorified at his symbolic resurrection and Jesus wasn’t either at his actual resurrection.  Jesus carried the destines of different groups of people in his death, resurrection and ascension .  There are two resurrections of the dead; the first is to immortality as a glorified spirit being and the second is a return to the mortal flesh.  The resurrection of Christ must cover both but address each separately.  In the article about how the dead are raised I have proven that Jesus was resurrected in the mortal flesh but later at his ascension was changed to an immortal spirit composed being.  The resurrection of Jesus thus completed the requirements for both resurrections.

The Apostles never saw Jesus in his glorified body.  The term “glorified flesh” is an oxymoron used by those who do not understand.  Jesus was indeed raised from the dead however as a mortal man to insure a second resurrection to mortality after the millennium.  Jesus in the exact same manner as we will ascend up into the air to be changed in a moment in a twinkling of an eye.  In this way the sacrifice, resurrection and ascension of Jesus covers both groups of people separated by a thousand years.  It was not only the church that Jesus died, rose and ascended for but also for all the unbelievers who would follow.  Remember that God so loved the world, not just the church, that He gave His only begotten son.

The current belief that Jesus was raised in a glorified fleshly body is an error that denies the hope of the church and the future for those of the second resurrection.  It has a spiritually glorified Jesus reduced to some kind of part flesh part spirit abomination that makes Jesus after our likeness of flesh rather than his Fathers likeness of spirit. We are to rise to conform to the image of Christ who is the image of the invisible God; we are in his image not ours.

This knowledge shows us why Jesus was baptized by John.  There were dead saints that were resurrected from the dead when Jesus was and they appeared to many people. (Matthew 27:52-53) This was not a resurrection to immortality anymore than that of Lazarus.  It was to show that there were saints that existed before Jesus was even born.  This proves to us that the day of Pentecost was not the beginning of the church but an extension of it to include the Gentiles along with all the saints in the wilderness church, many of whom are listed in Hebrews 11.

Romans 15:8-9 “Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God to confirm the promises made to the fathers and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy.”

These people were never baptized and their righteousness was never confirmed.  In order to fulfill this righteousness Jesus along with John, now in agreement, was baptized.  Most of these ancient saints were under the covenant of circumcision which symbolized that through the fleshly decent of Abraham a Messiah would be born.  Baptism is the fulfillment of circumcision.  Jesus confirmed the promise made to the fathers.  The life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ fulfilled many promises made to the fathers by the Almighty God.  To give all of humanity a hope, each in their own order, Jesus had to do all the things that he did.   Not everyone who comes to Christ will come at the same time under the same set circumstances. This is what Ephesians 1:9-10 tells us plainly; “having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ both of which are in heaven and which are on Earth in Him”

There is an order to the process of salvation; 1 Corinthians 15:20-24 “But now Christ is risen from the dead and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.  For since by man came death by man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But each one in his own order;  Christ the first fruits, afterwards those who are Christ's at his coming. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when he puts an end to all rule and all authority and all power.”

There is the church both before and after Christ, the people of the millennium and those of the great white throne judgment who all had to have a hope in Christ and all had to conform to the message of the gospel.

What kind of Body do the Saints receive in the Resurrection

2/18/21

In 1Corinthians 15:35-50 Paul answers a question about what type of body the saints are given in the resurrection.  Paul says there is a fleshly or Earthly body and a heavenly or spirit body. Paul says nothing about a glorified fleshly body.

Some people say the saints receive a glorified flesh body based on the body Jesus had after his resurrection. Jesus told his disciples that he was not a spirit but flesh and bone. (Luke 24:39)  The resurrection of Jesus was not to his glorified body.  Jesus had to be raised from the dead as a man because he died as a man.  The proof of his resurrection would be in doubt if Jesus was raised in a glorified spirit body.  The total and complete separation of flesh and spirit was explained by Jesus in (John 3:3-8) when he said “that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.” Jesus did not say that which is born of the spirit is glorified flesh. Jesus describes this birth of the spirit as being like the wind.  Clearly Jesus is saying that being born again means one will have a 100% spirit body. Spirit beings, the angels, have a spirit body as shown by the prophet Ezekiel in describing Lucifer's creation by God. (Ezekiel 28:11-15) If Jesus had been resurrected  in his glorified body he would have looked like how he is described in (Revelation 1:13-16) with hair as white as wool and eyes like flames of fire. Jesus did not look like this when he was raised from the dead. In (1John 3:1-3) John says we do not even know yet what we will be like until Jesus returns and we see him as he is.  Why would John say this when he was an eye witness of the risen Jesus unless Jesus was not in his glorified body when John saw him?  (1 Timothy 3:16 says Jesus was received up in glory; Jesus had to ascend in order to be glorified.  The Holy Spirit could not be given until Jesus

was glorified. (John 7:39)  Jesus said he had to go away before the spirit could be given. (John 16:7).  After his resurrection Jesus said he had not yet ascended to the Father. (John 20: 17)

What all these scriptures prove is that Jesus was not raised in a glorified body but after 40 days would ascend and be glorified and then ten days later send the Holy Spirit.

The idea of glorified flesh is an oxymoron or a figure of speech containing contradictory terms. An example: The short tall fat skinny man.

The word flesh occurs 315 times in scripture and in some verses the importance or value of it is very negative.  Galatians 5:16-17, Romans 8:5-6, 1 John 2:16, Romans 6:6 and John 6:63 are a few examples.  If this fleshly body we have now is destroyed God has another body from heaven that is 100% spirit reserved for us. Notice the fleshly body is “destroyed”. (2 Corinthians 5:1-5) All beings in Gods kingdom will be composed entirely of spirit as God, Jesus and the angels are. The spirits, the human spirits, of just men are made perfect when clothed with a spirit body. (Hebrews 12:23).   At that day we will hate the thought that we were once stained by the flesh. (Jude 1:23)

God is spirit. (John 4:24) and if we are truly to be made in His image it will be spirit and not glorified flesh.  Jesus said, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up"

Jesus was speaking of the temple of his body as verse 21 confirms. The body Jesus said he would be raised in was the body he was in when he said, "this temple".  Verse 22 says the disciples believed the scripture and the word Jesus said. Remember in (1 John 3:1-3) John said he had no idea of what the glorified body of Christ and the saints was like that we also would have when Christ returns.

In summary: If you are a true Christian and die your human spirit will go back to God who will at the resurrection join your human spirit into a spirit body. You will be 100% composed of spirit just as God, the angles and Jesus are.  You will be immortal and impeccable.

The words “glorified flesh” are like “immortal soul” or “trinity”; they do not appear in scripture.  I have presented to you the truth using scripture.

Answer to Critics about my View of the Two Trees in the Garden of Eden

2/15/21

My critics say that the tree of life was completely unknown by Adam and Eve.  If this is true why was GOD so concerned that the man Adam or some other man would eat the fruit of the tree of life and live forever?  Why would GOD place angels and a flaming sword to guard the tree from access?  The reason is because Adam and Eve did know about the tree of life and where it was located.  GOD did not want Adam and Eve to eat of its fruit and gain everlasting life as sinners.  Both trees; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life were in the midst of the garden just as scripture tells us.

Genesis 2:9 "And out of the ground the Lord GOD made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.  The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."

Critics say that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was good for food but in verse 16-17 of Genesis 2 GOD singles out one tree that He says is will kill Adam if he eats the fruit of it.  This would be a clear understanding that not all the trees were good for food if one of them would kill you.

The critics say the only choice Adam and Eve had was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  GOD has always given humanity a choice of life or death. In Eden it was the two trees; one producing life and the other death.  Under the law, Moses gave two choices, life and death, saying choose life and live. (Deuteronomy 30:19)  In the new covenant the choice is to obey the gospel and law of love to have immortality or blaspheme the Holy Spirit and suffer the wrath of God and everlasting death. (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Critics do not see why Adam and Eves attaining the knowledge of good and evil was bad, evil or sin.  Adam and Eve did not have the Holy Spirit and had no knowledge of what good and evil is.  In this condition to acquire the knowledge of good and evil without the power from GODS spirit to control it a person will sin and sin brings death.  GOD told Adam and Eve that in the day they ate the fruit of the forbidden tree that they would surely die.  It was sin for them to disobey GOD and eat the forbidden fruit in the first place.  This is when sin entered the world and death because of sin for as in Adam all have sinned and all die.  The death GOD was speaking of was not the death all people die because they are mortal but the everlasting death, the second death.  It is given to all humans once to die simply because they are mortal but their sins would have led to death everlasting if it were not for what Jesus did.  Jesus does not save us from our mortal death but from everlasting death, the second death.  Jesus provided forgiveness of sin and the elimination of the everlasting death penalty. Jesus saves us from the second death not the first death which is temporary due to two resurrections.  The green tree has been growing since Adams sin but GOD will dry up this green tree and make the dry tree green.  Sin and death replaced by righteousness and immortality.  My critics lack spiritual wisdom and understanding and leap to conclusions without proper examination of scripture; in short they are at best babes or at most unconverted.

Brother Kel

2/11/21

I have watched on You Tube a man called Brother Kel.  In his videos he mainly talks about the lie of the trinity and I am in full agreement with him on this matter.  Brother Kel has briefly touched on other subjects as well.

I like the way Kel speaks and how he shows the scriptures on screen.  Kel is no doubt a converted man who is still searching for the truth and the spiritual understanding on many issues.  I do have some things that I would take issue with him.  It would be my hope that my intent in doing so not be seen as an attack on Brother Kel but rather one brother bringing out things that another may have missed.  I will address four issues in this writing.

Issue #1  Brother Kel states that the law, the ten commandments, has been completely done away with being nailed to the cross of Christ and that the law only applied to Israel.  I, like Anthony Buzzard, once was a member of a law keeping church for a good many years until GOD through Christ led us out of it into the new covenant.  Anthony and I know the law does not apply to a true Christian.  The law was our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ and then we had no more to do with it.  Now Anthony and I are under the law of love to GOD and love to neighbor and being empowered by the spirit of the FATHER through Jesus to bear fruit to GOD, to overcome and grow in the spirit.  The law is still in force to do this for many others who will come after Anthony and I.  As Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-18; he did not come to destroy the law or the prophets but to fulfill both.  Then he said that not one jot or tittle of the law would pass away until heaven and Earth pass away.  This passing away of heaven and Earth takes place in Revelation 21:1.  The law is a very important tool for GOD to lead people to HIS son as it is what we need saved from because it righteously condemns all the world guilty of sin and when used lawfully convicts the sinner in GODLY sorrow leading them to repentance and then delivering them to the feet of the Christ and his gospel with the new covenant message of faith, grace and forgiveness.  Romans 3:19 says that all the world becomes guilty before GOD because of the law. The law is holy, just and good. In Romans 7 Paul explains how the law is to reveal to us our sinful nature and our inability to control ourselves. The spiritual warfare in us has victory only in Christ.  Romans 10:4 the law ends only for those in Christ. Sin is the transgression of the law and all have sinned and there is no excuse for this and GOD shows no respect of persons, the ignorance of man of the law is no excuse for sin under the law. The new covenant of Christ did not end the law but provided a new and living way apart from the law so that we could draw near to GOD. I love GODS law because it led me to Christ.

Scripture says that where there is no law there is no sin.

The law is what defines sin for the carnal unrighteous man and is not intended for the righteous saints of GOD.  If the law had never been revealed then there would have been no sin but yet death still reigned from Adam to Moses due to Adams sin alone. The law was added by GOD as a deterrent to sin but the law could not put and end to sin.  In Romans 3:9 it says both Jews and Gentiles are under sin; this means they are both under the law.  Israel was to be a model nation to all the other nations of the blessings of following the GOD of Israel so that other nations would want to be a part of Israel.  Israel failed to keep the covenant but yet the message of their experience survived.  This is all preserved in scripture.  Christians are not to make void the law through faith but establish the law.  How is this done?  Love is the fulfillment of the law; the love of GOD shed abroad in the human heart by the Holy Spirit of the FATHER through Jesus.  Love to GOD and neighbor is how Jesus fulfilled the law and not by keeping carnal commandments of the law of Moses.

Jesus demonstrated this GODLY love to us as well as his GOD and FATHER did.  Jesus and GOD had the same exact type of Love; John 15:9 "As my Father has loved me so I have loved you; abide in my love."  This is how Christians establish the law, by GODLY love.  Jesus was not born under the law, his mother was.  Jesus was not under both covenants at the same time.  Jesus was the new covenant and salvation by the will of his FATHER just as the prophet Isaiah declared in chapter 42:6 "I the Lord have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles."

Isaiah 49:6 "And He said, it is a light thing that thou should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will also give you for a light unto the Gentiles that you may be my salvation unto the end of the Earth."

In conclusion; the law, all of it, it still in full force and power today and will be until the new heavens and Earth.  The only way out of this covenant of death is by being purchased by the blood of Christ and become a Christian fulfilling and establishing the law not by works of the law but by the love of GOD. For it is GOD who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

Issue#2  Brother Kel says that you are only dust, that you are not a spirit.  The breath of life, the spirit of man is what gives life as well as being sentient.  Dust alone is just dust. We are not living dust but the breath of life animates the dust. It is the human spirit that gives life. This is what makes us after GODS image and according to His likeness but on a shadow level as Tslem or tsle meaning shadow in Hebrew,  or the shadow of death as we are mortal and subject to death.  If we are in some way in GODS image it is not the body but the spirit that is the image.  Job 32:8 "but there is a spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.” A soul is the union of body and human spirit, in other animals it is their body in union with a spirit of raw instinct only.  These are all souls or nephesh in Hebrew.  It is the spirits of just men that are made perfect and not their fleshly body, Hebrews 12:23. In reality you are a human spirit in a fleshly body but the flesh profits nothing.  2 Corinthians 5:1 informs us that our Earthly body is replaced by a spirit body that will be in union with the human spirit of those just men made perfect.  Flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom of GOD. The human body is only the temporary dwelling for our human spirit.  The human spirit is what you really are and contains all of your thoughts, memories and knowledge.  Your fleshly brain will not be in your spirit body.

1 Corinthians 2:11 "For what a man knows the things of a man except the spirit of man which is in him.  Even so no one knows the things of GOD except the spirit of GOD."

Proverbs 20:27 :The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart."

Death is when the union of body and human spirit is broken. The body returns to dust and the human spirit goes back to GOD. This human spirit cannot operate without a body. When you die you cannot even think or praise GOD; Psalm 146:4, Psalm 115:17, Ecclesiastes 9:5-9  This is because the real you, your human spirit or breath of life no longer operates. GOD is the creator of all spirits; angels, humans and animals and designed all to function in their assigned bodies.  GOD can manipulate, upgrade or convert the human or an Animal spirit as demonstrated by Balaam's donkey, Nebuchadnezzar's transformation and skills given to certain Israelites to build the tabernacle and ark (Exodus 31:1-5).  GOD can create any type of body or spirit He desires and the most grandest of all was Jesus the Christ.

Issue #3  Brother Kel says that Jesus is the Holy Spirit. He also says that Almighty GOD is the Holy Spirit.  The reality is that Jesus has access to his FATHERS power, a power that is not his own.  The Holy Spirit is the power of the highest, the omnipotent power of GOD, which is one of GODS attributes that He alone has.  Just as Jesus had no power on Earth and his FATHER did all the works, now Jesus has been entrusted by his FATHER with that same power to do the works he is doing today.  Being the Holy Spirit makes you GOD ALMIGHTY which brother Kel denies Jesus is.  All power in heaven and on Earth was given to Jesus but it is still not his own personal power, it is still GODS power being used by Jesus.  Jesus is the mediator between GOD and men.  Jesus is a glorified spirit being of himself and as such is the channel of operation of the Holy Spirit to men.  When Jesus was on the Earth he was the only human being ever to have direct contact with GOD and needed no mediator but all other humans do and Jesus is the mediator.  Just as angels in times past served in the role of GOD Himself when dealing with humans Jesus does so today. Jesus is not GOD but GOD operates through Jesus to be with us.  GOD is with us through Jesus.  Jesus is the mediating spirit between GOD and humans.  The Holy Spirit cannot be two different beings at the same time.  The spirit of Christ in a Christian is the way we have access to GOD.  GOD alone is the Holy Spirit, Jesus is a spirit and we have a human spirit and the line of communication is all spirit and all made possible by GODS HOLY SPIRIT.

Issue #4  Brother Kel says that Jesus did not have the Holy Spirit until baptized by John the  Baptist.  It is a biblical fact that without the Holy Spirit no one can understand spiritual things or have any contact with GOD. Jesus would have been an unconverted man for 30 years of his life. (1Corinthians 2:14)  Scripture shows that when Jesus was 12 years old he made this statement in Luke 2:49 “Did you not know that I must be about my Fathers business?”  Jesus had the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb. Psalm 22:9-10 “Yet you brought me out of the womb, you made me trust in you, even at my mothers breast. From birth I was cast on you; from my mothers womb you have been my GOD.”  The event of the baptism of Jesus was not for him to receive the Holy Spirit. John tried to prevent Jesus and said, “I have need to be baptized by you and you are coming to me?”  Jesus replied by saying, “permit it to be so for now for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Only then did John allow him. The reason for this event is given, to fulfill all righteousness.  This was the fulfillment of circumcision practiced by the saints of old from Abraham forward who were not baptized.  The sign was that through Abraham's flesh all nations of the Earth would be blessed.  Jesus and John fulfilled the sign of circumcision in the baptism of Jesus.  I could write much more about this but not now.  The spirit in the form of a dove coming and remaining on Jesus was the sign given to John to identify the messiah. John knew that Jesus did not need baptism, Jesus did not need a baptism for repentance or to be baptized into Jesus. It is in a way ridiculous when seen this way; the one who was salvation in the flesh assumed to not have the Holy Spirit and needing baptized!  Please read Isaiah 49:5-6 and notice; "The Lord formed me from the womb to be His servant"  Do you think that any human being without GODS Holy Spirit could live 30 years and never sin; even the saints with the Holy Spirit still sin and need forgiveness. Brother Kel has made and error and I hope he may see and correct it.

As I said at the beginning of this writing, I am not attacking brother Kel.  To study scripture being guided by GODS spirit requires more than one person to be safe.  In a multitude of counselors there is safety and the word of one witness is not acceptable but two or three is.  As far as I know brother Kel operates alone when studying and presenting his conclusions on video.  I have three others with the Holy Spirit and we operate together in a manner similar to the Jerusalem council in Acts 15.  In this way a matter can be established.  This method is always accompanied by prayer, meditation and sometimes fasting. We realize that no one at the present time has all truth and that we all are at various stages of growth and this should not cause separation but is part of coming into unity of the faith. (Ephesians 4:13)

This post will give another understanding of what happened in the garden of Gethsemane........

In John 12:27 Jesus is speaking about going to the cross when saying "this hour".  this verse confirms that Jesus was not going to ask his FATHER to save him from "that hour."  "Now my soul is troubled and what shall I say; Father save me from this hour?  But for this purpose I came to this hour."

If Jesus, in the garden, then did ask to be saved from "this hour"  then this would make him a hypocrite.  Jesus knew he had to die, it was his purpose to die.  Jesus was determined to do his FATHERS will and he was not asking to avoid the cross in the garden.  Jesus had no problem "drinking the cup" but he knew that the wrath of his GOD and FATHER would come upon him as it says in Isaiah 53:4-5 & 10.  "Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted.  He was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed.  Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him He has put him to grief when you make his soul an offering for sin." Jesus saved the church from this wrath to come upon the world as well as provide atonement for sins.  What Jesus was asking for is that this wrath of his FATHERS would quickly pass away "after he drank the cup".  The FATHER answered the prayer of Jesus and allowed Jesus to die very quickly when compared to many others that were killed on a cross.  Jesus died after only six hours; this was such a short time and it amazed Pilate, Mark 15:44. "Pilate marveled that he was already dead and summoning the centurion, he asked him if he had been dead for some time."

Romans 5:9 Having been justified by his blood (for forgiveness of sin) we shall be saved from the wrath of GOD through him (this cup).

John 3:36 "He who believes in the son has everlasting life and he who does not believe the son shall not see life but the wrath of God abides on him."

1 Thessalonians 1:10 "and to wait for His son from heaven whom He raised from the dead even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come."

The Messiah, Jesus, did not ask his GOD and FATHER to avoid the cross but rather to make the time of the wrath of his GOD and FATHER upon him to be taken away after he drank the cup.  Jesus died very quickly to the amazement of Pilate but he did feel the wrath of GOD so that the church would not.

Please consider these words. The other article about this subject was not totally correct but I think this article is correct.
