Below is an article by Rick Gedeon, my brother in Jesus Christ.  Rick explains the simplicity that is in Christ by answering a question from one of his readers.

Rick mentions in his reply that the answer is both simple and complex then gives the basic truth about how one is saved by faith through grace. To understand what Rick means by complex both he and I, on his site and my blog,  have other articles that elaborate on the truths that have been lost since the first century and these things are what we should have faith about. The gospel is the message we must hear and understand to have the hope of salvation but over the years since it was first preached many false apostles and deceitful workers have entered in changing the truth of this gospel into lies thereby making the simplicity of what God and Christ gave to us confusion.  Rick and I have dedicated ourselves to eliminating the confusion and bringing the truth in the beauty of its simplicity to our readers. Could You Please Tell Me How A  Person Is Saved?

Back in January of 2011, a man named Rob e-mailed me, and told me he had looked over the material on this site, and could not find a clear definition of how someone is, or becomes saved. I responded to his question by telling him that the way to being  saved was simple yet also complex. I went on to explain to him the first 2 basic steps to become saved, and told him I would continue to communicate with him further  on how a person is saved, but for some reason, I never extended the discussion with  him about this gravely important subject. I will mention it again, because of what has  happened to the faith once delivered to the saints. This question, that at the birth of  Christianity was quite simple, has now become simple and complex. The explanation  of the first two basic steps to be saved pleased Rob, and he recommended that I publish it on the site, so here is the e-mail discussion we had below. This subject  will be expanded in further articles over the next several months.

 I read a good portion of your web site, but could not find a clear teaching anywhere on what an individual must do or believe in order to be saved. Could you please tell me HOW, in your opinion, a person is saved?

My Response To Rob's All Important Question 

Thank you Rob for the most important question one could ever ask. I will give you-as  you say, my opinion on how one becomes saved. This is in my opinion, a very simple, but yet very complex answer, and it will take more than one e-mail to explain it. The simplest explanation for the first step in order to be saved can be found in  Romans chapter 10, and verses 8 through 13. Some of these scriptures derive from  the Old Testament and are meshed in with the truth of the New Testament:But what does it say?

"the word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart (Duet. 30:14)" (that is the word of faith which we preach):THAT IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THE LORD JESUS AND BELIEVE  IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD HAS RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL  BE SAVED. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the  mouth confession is made to salvation. For the scripture says:

"whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame (Is. 28:16). "For there  is no distinction between Jew and Greek (or meaning Gentiles), for the same Lord who is over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For "whoever calls upon  the name of the Lord shall be saved (Joel 2:32)."

So I believe:I: You are saved when convicted in your heart and mind that Jesus is both Savior and Lord, and through the belief in His death for the forgiveness of  your sins this conviction is testified by confession through the mouth, and  therefore you are saved by being given the gift of eternal or age abiding life  through Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:23).

II: Step number two is that it is through belief alone in Christ that justifies you through faith and this alone, and through this faith you are given the free gift of the same righteousness as God and Jesus.

Notice the justification through faith in him first in Galatians chapter 2 and verse 16:"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law (Old Covenant) BUT BY  FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, EVEN WE HAVE BELIEVED IN CHRIST JESUS, THAT WE MAY BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH IN CHRIST AND NOT BY THE WORKS  OF THE LAW; FOR BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW NO FLESH SHALL BE  JUSTIFIED."

Now let's read about the righteousness that is given to us in Romans 5:17:"For if by one man's offense (Adam) death reigned through the one, much  more those who receive abundance of grace AND OF THE GIFT OF  RIGHTEOUSNESS will reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ."

So in my opinion, and I think the word of God agrees that:
 In order to be saved you must believe that you are saved through faith in Christ and faith in Him alone for justification, and no good work you do will in anyway save you, and because of that faith alone in Christ you are imputed with the same righteousness that God and Christ possess just as David  testified through Paul in Romans 4:7-8:"Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are  covered; blessed is the man in whom the Lord shall not impute sin (Psalm 32:1-2)."

So if God, who has no sin in Him imputes no sin to the one who has faith in Christ, he stands with God and Christ with their same righteousness.

Well got to run, will continue with my opinion every few days and I will probably end up using this as an article on the site, for you made me realize that it is desperately needed.

Did Angels Produce Giants?

Many people think that the fallen angels produced offspring with human females giving birth to giants and great men of renown. This paper will examine this idea and prove it true or false.  The scripture in question is below.
 
KJV Genesis 6:1-7
1.  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
 2.  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. (This refers to sex with a relative, “of all which they chose”)
 3.  And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
 4.  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
 5.  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
 6.  And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
 7.  And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
 
The phrase “sons of God” is defined buy those who support the idea that fallen angels reproduced with human females as angels but sons of God can refer to human beings, this term is never used in referring to fallen angels.
The Hebrew article for the word “son” from Strong’s is below;

Angels do not build up a family name nor are they capable of reproducing after their own kind or human kind.  All the angels were created by God before time and all of them were tested by God to prove them.  One third failed and became fallen while two thirds passed the test by remaining loyal to God.  God has never created any other angels since this non time event. Jesus had this to say about angels;

KJV Matthew 22:30
30.  For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
To take a wife is to be married and Jesus plainly says that angels do not marry.

KJV Mark 12:25
 25.  For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

KJV Luke 20:35-36
 35.  But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
 36.  Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

The word giant is the article below;

4.  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The above verse plainly states that these tyrants or bullies existed even before the sons of God came to the daughters of men.
One of the shadows of man that makes man in God image and likeness is that mankind can procreate.  God intends to make children of His own from mankind through Jesus Christ.  Angels were not created to procreate but to be ministering spirits to those who can, humans. When God spoke of His displeasure over the events of Genesis 6 there was no mention of any angel.

3.  And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
5.  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
 6.  And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
 7.  And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Why didn’t God destroy the fallen angels who did this deed?  How could the innocent offspring of such a union be held accountable? 
After Cain killed his brother Abel, he went to the land of Nod and his children were evil tyrants (giants) that God forbid the children of Seth to marry because it would spread evil but this did happen and the evil did spread to a degree that God sent the flood.  Noah was a man who scripture says was perfect in his generations.

 KJV Genesis 6:9
 9.  These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Noah was the tenth generation from Adam and a descendent of Seth and his line had no contact with Cain or Cain’s sons. Genesis chapter 5 gives the genealogy of Noah.

The history of Cain and his children was evil.

KJV Genesis 4:16
 16.  And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

KJV Genesis 4:25-26
 25.  And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
 26.  And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

KJV 1 John 3:12
12.  Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

KJV Jude 1:11
11.  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Seth was to take the place of Abel in the righteous line.

KJV Genesis 4:25
25.  And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Cain’s sons became tyrants and were evil. They did not call on the name of the Lord and dwelt outside His presence and had no fellowship with God. The righteous shall not reproduce with the wicked just as Israel was not to marry outside of Israel. 

To end the practice of sex with a relative, God gave the nation of Israel specific commands about who they could not engage in sexual relations with.  In the verses below God states that the heathen did practice these abominations.

KJV Leviticus 18:24-30
 24.  Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
 25.  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
 26.  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
 27.  (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
 28.  That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
 29.  For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
 30.  Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.

These abominations would defile Israel spiritually but they may also had a physical effect that caused genetic abnormalities like people of abnormal stature.

The first mention of very tall men is during the time of Moses many years after the flood.  Giants before the flood were men who were tyrants and cruel, evil bullies but no indication of great stature in the sense of height. The tallness factor seems to have come much later perhaps due to genetic mutation or anomaly caused by inbreeding.  God forbid the practice of sex with a near kinsman in Israel but the heathen still in bred.

The conclusion is that angels did not reproduce with human females; evil sons of Cain did and that caused evil to spread and brought the flood.  The heathen after the flood still practiced sexual abominations that could have produced people of abnormal height called giants.
